That looks like a dirty bulk. If you're a power lifter, then it's fine - eat whatever you want (cause you clearly are with no apparent structure). If you're actually trying to sculpt your body, you really do need to clean up your diet drastically.

Eat clean, train dirty. It can't get simpler.
It is a dirty dirty bulk indeed, but if I can eat all that **** and still not gain weight - **** how much chicken and rice will get the job done?

But yeah I know what you mean and IIFYM really doesn't mean eat like ****, but this was me literally trying to just get those extra cals in to at least get a caloric surplus - which seems to have failed.

You can really drop stuff like the Flings, Steri Stumpy and some of the bread. Those quick digest and processed Carbs do nothing but spike your insulin for very short periods of time.

Try get more natural foods in with more micro nutrients. Especially more protein. Eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, pork steaks and even lean mince are great options. And won't hurt to get in more veggies.

IIFYM is not a reason to eat like a teenager.

And remember that this is a long term thing. Give it 2 or 3 weeks and if you are still not gaining, add bit more calories. You will not see differences from day to day. More on a monthly basis.

Fair enough, I did get a lot of trash calories in and I know they were trash calories (soda lmao) but I literally added in the trash to try to gain weight.

My metabolism is ****ed - in a good kinda way I suppose. FML.

Honestly it's surprising that with that much extra crap in your diet you're not ****ing huge

Just some minor adjustments and it should be fine

Dont push it too hard. Seriously - don't give your body too much waste. When you hit your mid 30s to 40s you will be hooked and find it hard to break old habits and your metabolism will have slowed down. Any competitive sports person will attest to that. Just look at how many have slowed down all but their eating habits later in life. Food addiction is genuinely hard to shake - mostly because of boredom. I speak totally from experience - I could eat like a horse and put on nothing. For me the trigger seemed to be getting married and having kids though that could be coincidence. At first I was excited by how easy it was to bump on 5 kgs but now I'm kind of nervous at how hard it is to lose 5. Don't start habits you will regret. Your body gets more than enough food in a regular diet and is very creative when it comes to using calories. It will settle.

I was quite surprised as well - always assumed the stuff was healthy.

I am quite surprised myself. The nutrifit where I buy my lunches pushes it as a healthy carb. Meh guess its brown rice and sweet potato for me :p

Muscle ups: managed one ugly MU, failed

Missing gym a lot the past week as my car is in the shop (some woman at work hit my parked car). I can already feel my body getting slightly softer. At least my diet is on point...

Love this kind of thing - it's a good benchmark on your weight to strength ratio.

That sucks.

Why not incorporate some bodyweight exercises when you can't make it to the gym?

Some push-ups, dips, pull-ups, single leg squats and single leg stiff-legged dead lifts will at least keep you in the routine.

I have been running. But, my right knee is a little busted up from my ice skating days, and I can feel I have made it a bit sensitive. Need to take it slower. Think I will rather give the body exercises a shot.
