I recently broke through a plateau though by upping my calories.

I believe in re-feed days 100%.

Just forget about counting for the day and eat the stuff you've been missing so much. Of course not binging but I make sure I go well over my TDEE and that day usually also involves mostly carbs.

^^ Thanks

Did anyone order any sups from the ebucks store? I did on the 12th but have no idea where my order is (no reference received) and cannot find any tracking type info on ebucks.com.
I've been eyeing the Evox whey on offer, how do you guys reckon Evox tastes these days? It's been years since I bought any...

^^That's exactly what I bought so will tell you as soon as they pull their fingers and fulfills my damn order. Ordered on the 12th and it's still in "New".

When I queried it they gave me the "It can take up to takes 6 business days" yada yada....

Eedjits!

Re: Evox, at a glance, there doesn't seem to be much difference between the 100% whey, the synergy whey and the lean pro diet protein? http://www.evox.co.za/products/11/products

Serving sizes are slightly different, as are the exact makeup of what's in there, but other than that, the protein, carb, fat ratios are very close. Does 0.7g of fat or 0.9g of carbs really make that much of a difference between the lean pro and the 100% whey in a serving for example?

The difference a refeed makes on a cut is unbelievable. Your strength increases, your energy increases, and it kills your bad cravings. On top of that, it helps accelerate fat loss.

For those who have ordered through MyProtein, how long have your packages typically been at customs for? My package was shipped on the 6th and has been stuck at customs since the 13th...

We should start a separate MyProtein thread so we don't have to revisit all the same questions a million times. Maybe a friendly mod could strip out the posts into a new thread?

I am feeling mighty sorry for myself. Getting a sinus infection, and worried it's going to develop into flu/bronchitis. Apparently there is something doing the rounds. Some of my mates are getting sick too. Training and cut are going to take a massive hit. My first triathlon is in 14 weeks so this downtime is going to hurt.

Rather take care of yourself... Marathon NOT Sprint!

I made the mistake of thinking I can power through a little cough/nose drip instead of taking a few days off. In the end I was forced into almost a month off and almost ending up in hospital as it progressed to pneumonia.

As long as your diet is on point there will be little to no effect in taking a few days off. Might even be good so that you have 100% recovery.

Especially if you working in a large office it has a tendency to go around. I keep a bottle of 1000mg vitamin C tabs in my desk drawer.
it's now part of my stack and i take 1-2 pills every day. I notice that i get sick much less than co-workers now

EDIT: which triathlon is it?

Thanks - you are right. I am still about 10 weeks from done with my cut, so diet will be maintained. Will up the calories to hopefully push through this quickly and without antibiotics. The strange thing is my breathing has been really bad when pushing hard this entire week, and now I am sick. Strange how the lungs can warn you before anything else.

Thanks - that's a good idea. Adding it to the shopping list now.

Doing this one --> http://ultratri.co.za/suncity-ultra/sprint-info.html. Half Ironman next year, so this is one of my first prep runs.

Have not done any endurance sports since high school, so I have a lot of work to do still. Losing half a week sucks.

And with that ends a 2 hour yoga session ending with forced splits. I don't think I'll be able to walk for the next week

Hahaha. 2 hour yoga session at? I do yoga once a week at gym and then maybe to stretch out some stiff areas. It shouldn't make you sore at all.

Anyone ever done chest and then expierenced a sore chest bone for a week afterwards? My chest muscles had the normal soreness afterwards for 2 days but chest bone is still a bit sore 6 days after.

I googled how to do bench press correctly by pinching my shoulder blades etc and it started after that or the dips. I did feel a difference in doing it the "new" way vs the old way, just the part between my pecks that hurt.

Is this normal?

You probably strained ligaments by stretching further than your normal range. If you want to keep it up, I'd do some stretches before. Get two chairs and do push ups with one hand on each and your chest lowering between them. Give it time to heal first though.

Thanks, will do more stretches as you suggested.
