The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

What sort of workout are you doing at the gym? You have to listen to your body to gauge how much you can push yourself.

various exercises but mostly cardio, I only go for 70+ heart rate for an hour, might have a very short spike but then I relax a bit to get it down... Suspect though its the hours I keep and lack of sleep thats my downfall mostly... so busy getting that on track

70 is very, very low for a workout. It's around walking pace. What heart rate monitor are you using?

Are you training for weight loss, or for fitness?

I'm going to be on this training program from next week. The gains are coming and this is going to be brutal.

all aboard the gain train congrats
Thanks man

Awesome man!

out of curiosity, are you following a specific strength program (5X5's or something) or from daily training/lifting?

Its daily training and lifting. I made up my own program that I follow and everything that I do is 4x10 reps except the running. I have been reading up on various training exercises and making sure I eat and drink right. I am believer that if you eat, drink and sleep well you will do well in the gym.
Thank you.

Do you mind sharing your Eating plan and a typical lifting plan (for a week) perhaps?

Reason i ask is, im trying to bulk, and im not sure if the program im on is working for me (5X5), dont get me wrong, my strength is definitely increasing (for example, Body weight is 78Kg's, and my last 5x5 BP was 65kg's, Bar Bell was 70 kg's, and SQ 65Kg's all +- 15 k's less than when i started 4 weeks ago), and i know im eating enough, because i am picking up the weight, (i started at 73kg's) but im just not feeling the size increase?

Hi guys, anyone know where I can buy some fractional plates? I am specifically looking for .5kg plates (the 1kg I can get from makro). Found one place but they have a lead time of 3-4 weeks

Thanks

Game is where my wife got hers (note the 'quick to disown the plates' attitude :D )
Personally I don't really use less than 2.5.

I also used 2.5, but the increases are now getting a bit much, and without a spotter or cage (at my local gym), adding 5kg to the bar can become an issue. So am currently on greyskull, and they recommend 1kg for bench and press and 2kg for squat and deadlift

I add 2.5 to one side. If there's enough weight on there it's not going to be an issue IMO but no hassle with getting 0.5s and 1's.

I meant 70% - 79% band range for discovery... at the moment I am around 75% average of my max heart rate during a workout session according to fitbit. If I exclude the time in between exercises like waiting for equipment ect I think it will be much higher. But the pace is ok for now... my program gets updated frequently and it gets more intense as I get fitter and so on...

Ok, awesome. Makes more sense now.
