Bench for sale.

My father-in-law is selling a bench.
It is extremely well built and solid.

He is asking R2000, ONCO.

Bloody hell. That is exactly what I'm looking for and so interested but unforeseen kids medical expenses tripped our budget up a bit early this year.

Any chance he would take R1200 for it? Otherwise I will just have to save up longer and hope it is still available when I can afford to make a better offer.

I'll be seeing him tonight. I'll let him know your offer, maybe he accepts it. I'll make out that there hasn't been much interest in the bench :)
Would you be prepared to collect?

Thanks CM. Appreciate.

I'll collect yes. Most probably send one of my drivers with the cash if he miraculously accepts the offer. :)

@APoc184 Sorry, it's been sold already. The guy that took the cable system ended up buying the bench too.

No worries CM. Thanks for the feedback and glad he got everything sold.

Perhaps better that I'm not spending money I don't really have right now

But those pics have been saved and might just build my own one later this year.

Cheers.

Hey all, is there anyone who gym's at SSISA in CT that's looking for a gym partner, specifically (but not limited to) doing some weight training, even if it's just once a week that we meet up. I'm doing Stronglifts 5x5 and could use a spot sometimes. I'm not incredibly strong (Squat 80, Bench 70, Deadlift 75, OHP 45, Row 55), and would be great if you're in a similar range to me.

I usually train for 60 minutes 3 times a week. I'm allowed to go twice a week as a work "health" initiative over lunch (12:15 - 13:15), and then the other session I try find in the AM (05:45 - 06:45). Fairly flexible on the the days.

^^any style can be useful with the right teacher, I started with judo as a youngster then I later picked up boxing from my neighbour and those two combined have served me well over the years

man boxing sounds legit

do you have any issues with wrists/elbows etc?

I have a pretty ****ed up left wrist, can't even do a pushup without pain, I can bench with straps though.

I'm assuming boxing would literally shatter my wrist like a glass

wrapping your hands would work similarly to wrist straps to prevent any necessary flexion
