The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Anyone used nutritech Whey? I saw the 3.2kg at R600 at gateway health store which had the cookies and cream flavour. Apparently really good.

However it seems like they are no longer available. All I see is the chinabomb etc :/

Lol is one cup enough? I used to have like peanut butter usually

I don't need any preworkout. We all have enough glycogen stores to get through a session if you eat. Sometimes I also train fasted if the session is under 60 minutes - and don't have any issues. You don't need a preworkout. If you are dieting, you will feel weaker, but caffeine may help offset this. How much you need is dependent on your caffeine resistance.

so I decided to strip my workout down to the bare essentials, got through it in decent time yesterday I'm still getting used to the volume. Do you guys think I need to add anything more to this

weighted pull ups 8x1 (heavy singles)
weighted pull ups 5x5

weighted dips 3x3+ (90% 1rm)
weighted dips 5x5

deadlift 5x5
pistol squats 3x3 per leg

superset
dumbbell curls 3x15
tricep extensions 3x15

edit: yes I dont have an overhead pressing movement, but im training handstands as a side goal

The problem is I'm cutting, so like my lifts won't be too good. But I think I'll try the coffee out, I know it won't be much considering one cup doesn't contain much caffeine too.

It comes with the territory. Your lifts will get weaker, and perceived effort will go up. The problem is pre-workout has all sorts of weird stuff in it. It raised my heart rate and temperature. I also would feel odd afterwards. I would rather just train naturally, and embrace the suck than use any pre-workout again. If you are cutting a lot of calories, you could also look at carb cycling to help your workouts.

My ears start to tingle....very very weird

Thanks for the advice! :)

Nutritech is one of the top local brands. I alternate between Nutri and USN, whichever is the best deal per KG when I need to restock. You should be paying R200/kg or less. R600 for 3.2 is really well priced.

Takealot, it's almost always the cheapest. I just ordered 3 x USN 1kg 100% Whey, R199 per kilo.

I doubt they would deliver on time for me. But I would consider using them next time! Thanks for the heads up

I’m currently using Titan labs whey isolate. But pricier , but the taste is amazing and it mixes like a dream

I ordered yesterday at 11am, the order was delivered to my office this morning at 08:10am.

In the time we've been posting in this thread you could have had your whey already ;)

Hey guys.

Just a warning on MyProtein. I contacted them about an order of mine which I think the post office might have stolen, and this is what they had to say:
Thank you for getting in touch about order XXXXXX.

We operate a 40 day policy in which we ask you to please make contact to let us know that your order has not arrived.

As it has now been over 40 days since your order was sent, we cannot trace this item and are unable to offer you a refund or replacement.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by this.

Kind regards,

Chris

That's really good! My orders on regular stuff take a week or two, that's my concern. I'm in durban.

You're probably around JHB and CPT where the offices/warehouse is?

What bull****, they can't find it themselves. You try and get your money back!

Could be a technical limitation with their systems.

This is why I just buy locally. Bringing stuff into SA is expensive.
