I have low blood pressure, up until two weeks ago it didn't bother me much, but the last 2 weeks has had me want to pass out while exercising. (I do HIIT. )
Any suggestions, please note it's not my sugar levels so eating before exercise has no effect.

Tested at 70/50 last time we checked. But I know the feeling well. I tend to always be on the lower side.Define low?
I'm at 90/70
What are you eating?
Maybe you should try upping the carbs you eat before your workout?

Like I said my blood pressure and my blood sugar levels are not connected ( mostly) I had a protein shake this morning.
I'm also know the low sugar feeling, I'm hypoglycemic.
This is pressure related not fuel.tx again.

Bodybuilding on a budget but this price drop got me worried. So Muscleworks whey protein at Game has dropped down to R149 for about 900kgs. It was R249 before and now i'm just suspicious about the quality and the reason for the price drop. Anybody know whats happening with this company? local guys - muscleworks.co.za -
Typo meant 800 grams for R149-00
Any thoughts?

Hi guys, don't know if this is the right place to ask as I'm not going to body build at the moment but I just joined the gym because I really need to lose weight, been going at it for 5 days, eating well (minimal carbs and such) not eating more than I used to but I have picked up 1.7KG, is there a reason for this?
I've been doing 50 minute cardio sessions mainly mixed with some days of the super circuit. This is really disheartening. Does anyone have advice for me?
Stop doing cardio and lift heavy weights to lose weight.
How long have you been at it.
Losing weight is more about the calories you consume than exercise.I haven't gymed before so my strength still leaves much to be desired.
Well a week and a bit, I didn't expect to lose tonnes in a week but I also didn't expect to put on almost 2KG :/ I was hoping to lose like 2 a month so I was hoping to be 0.5 down after a week.

However, if you want to retain muscle mass while losing fat, then the right kind of exercise is key.
It might have been water weight that you gained from the exercise, as muscles swell after having been worked.
Also everything is relative, so what is your current weight and height?
Oh, there's a weight loss / gain thread on MyBB, so that might be a better place to take this discussion.

Don't worry: that's the beauty of lifting heavy - you get stronger. And then you lift heavier. The quickest way to get stronger is also to do compound lifts: squats, deadlifts, bench press. You work groups of muscles together (squats work almost your entire body, not just your legs like most unknowing people believe) which burns a LOT of calories. You may gain weight, though (which may be counter productive if you're only doing this to lose weight) - but it'll be muscle mass and bone density.
Just don't overdo it if you're just starting out - it'll lead to injury. 5x5 is a good program if you're new. It'll teach you compound lifts with proper form and get you stronger quickly without breaking you.
