The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Speaking of Whey... Finished my first 3.2 kg of Nutritech. Any deals floating around for other products?

I see TA stocks nutritech now @ R619.

Just placed my order, lets see how long TA takes to deliver. But its great that they are adding more variety to their health options. The order online shops are going to lose out.

It may have been me that suggested it.
I should take my own advice sometimes, coz I don't do enough planking. I can manage 2 minutes, but by then everything is shaking! :D

Thats good though. Thanks bud. its really helping. :)

couldn't be bothered to go to gym yesterday but I knew I had to get my reps in so here's my calisthenics routine

5x10 chin-ups/pullups/neutral grip
6x10 pushups/diamonds/incline/decline
3x8 ab wheel rollouts
10x2 pistols (5 each leg)

almost didn't finish but I had a hella pump afterwards

feeling so demotivated and lazy lately, lost half my strength over the last 2 years. started 5x5 yesterday to try push again, seems too easy so far but suppose it will pick up fast

More than a minute and you're wasting time. There are several reasons but you are better off making it more difficult (eg progress to decline plank) than simply extending the time you plank in one go

I do agree about progressing, but don't agree with it being a waste of time to do it longer. Any reading material to support that statement?

But why do it longer when you can make it more challenging and get more done in the same amount of time. Who wants to plank for 5 minutes straight?

Fair enough, I would also move on to a more challenging variation before I reach 5 min, but I think there is enough benefit to do it longer than a minute.

Been exceptionally lazy the last 2 weeks.

Back to the gym tonight :D

*Most* people don't plank correctly
Do it for longer than a minute and you're most likely resting on your joints (or using other incorrect muscles) vs actually engaging your core. I know in the past I've done 5 minutes iirc, but thinking back now my form was shot at 1 min already (as soon as your back sags you're done), so that was when I should have stopped. Also past 1 minute you're switching from strength training to endurance, that is typical of all isometric exercises.

Besides Whey. Is there any other product I should be taking to help muscle gain/recovery?

As far as I know - as long as you are eating and sleeping properly you don't need any supplements.

I have low blood pressure, up until two weeks ago it didn't bother me much, but the last 2 weeks has had me want to pass out while exercising. (I do HIIT. )

Any suggestions, please note it's not my sugar levels so eating before exercise has no effect.

Tx. :)
