Some nice tips here on elbow adjustments when benching.

Body building, I do the RM hoping that it will become 2 reps then 3 and so on. How else will I get higher weight on bench?
You just have to stimulate the muscle , heavier is not always better .. I prefer "lighter" weights with more reps with slow negatives

1 rep Max is only supposed to be done one in a while if you want to , but if its in your normal routine that's most likely why you getting hurt. Ligament and tendons take longer to get use to the heavier weights

Progressive overload. Doing 1RM all the time isn't the quickest way to lift heavier weights over time.

5x5 programs and GVT are really good for strength training. You are benching 160KG+ though so you probably already know this.

Nice sarcasm there :p

Benching heavy does not mean I know anything...

Thanks will rather drop lower and up reps.

Was going to ask the same thing. When I go heavier and my form suffers and I don't tuck my elbows, then I also get an ache in my elbows (right elbow).
It normally improves once everything adjusts and strengthens to the increased weight, and it remains fine until I add weight again.

Are those benching @160

All the way down?

Just curious, because anything above 150 gets my attention that's quite good especially since you weight half my weight

Im probably the only person who prefers weighted dips instead of bench press, I've reached a point where Im now dipping close to 50% my bodyweight

I only push as heavy as I can with good form. If I feel that my form starts to stray I drop the weight.

Seeing guys in the gym, elbows flaring, shoulders protracted, pains me deep deep inside.
