i bought myself 6kg of usn hyperbolic mass at R350 for 6Kg
when reading the nutritional infos, i see its just the same as the pro nutro i eat in the morning. Except the usn costs 30rand per 500gram where pro nutro is like 20 rand
pro neutro tastes lekker, not even my dog wants to eat the usn mix i made.
Anyone here care to comment regarding my find?
Thanks

I would just eat a cr@p load of bread with some protein filling.
Hope you have a solid routine to burn off those shakes.
What are your goals?
Did you try change your diet to suit first, I also made the mistake of buying "MASS builders" when I started years back, all it did was make me and my friends chubby, I now stay away from the stuff especially now I'm in my 30's.
Well, in 2 weeks I gained almost 5kg by just adding mass builder shakes and protein shakes in. Using a combination of both works really good for me. Protein shake now goes with my Oats morning meal after my workout, and my mass building shake I take right before bed. Its not exactly what people tell you to do, but hey it worked wonders for me, being a skinny type guy myself, picking up weight is incredibly hard, but losing them weight is super easy if I really want to.
I suspect, once I have bulked to just above the final weight I want, to cut will be easy and fast. Vince del monte suggests cutting 1% bodyfast a week. This is from a guy who mostly help skinny type guys like myself. So to go from 15% bf to 8% should technically only take me 7 weeks, that is less than 2 months!

Try eating 4500-5000 calories without a mass builder.
Hey Tinuva,
I'm a really skinny guy myself (currently 56kg at 5ft7). Been taking protein shakes 5 times a week after each workout for about 2 months now but it's not really helping me gain weight. My muscles are there, but I'd like to increase my weight a bit. I'd like to get to 60-62kgs so I'm thinking about adding some kind of mass builder to my diet.
Which ones do you use (type/brand/etc) and how much do they cost?
And here's the ideal canidate for mass builder shakes 56kg, thats skinny for a guy...The reason your not gaining weight is easy, your not eating enough, but you already know that most probably, I'd add a mass builder if I were you, but don't think the mass builder will be enough though, still got to stuff you face with actual food as well![]()
I am not going to lie to you, its hard work as a skinny guy to get your weight up. Now I read somewhere an article, I think it was on anabolicminds.com, where you get 2 different types of metabolisms in people, its not black and white, most people fall inbetween somewhere. After working it out, it looks like I fall on the one side, where I tend to lose weight easier.Hey Tinuva,

Also, any ideas where I can get cheap barbells from? Sportsmans Warehouse has a 50kg set for like R1600 online :/
Uh yeah, Wikkels88 is 100% correct. Before worrying too much about adding mass-builder shakes ect, you do have to get your diet right. My diet fixed my bodyweight from 55kg up to 70kg, and that was before adding any type of shakes at all. I then stagnated at 70kg for more than a year, so now started to add in the shakes, and this is how I started gaining again.
