Bloody expensive, remember seeing the same thing as Sportmans for R3500 a couple years back.

Surely not Powerblock though? And not likely that weight either. I recall seeing other makes around - perhaps even Weider - definitely seen bowflex, etc. Just never seen dumbells above 25kg each.

I've also emailed these guys for prices

Protein Grams: 112 Grams Per Day.
448
Fat Grams: 43 Grams Per Day.
387
Carbohydrate Grams: 432 Grams Per Day.
1728

- My approximate goals - might cut down slightly - to allow for a slight defecit

For heavy weight and the safety feature is nice for going heavy on bench and shoulder press.

Yeah, for guys like me who don't have a spotter, they're awesome. I'll aim for one of those somewhere down the line.

How are your genes? Genes play a huge role in what your body does with all that stuff. Some are lucky enough to have muscle factories, others are better at other things like endurance. Hard work in the gym always pays off, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't automatically equate to lean muscle.

Those stats were calulated on weight bmr + activity levels.
As mentioned will probably cut it down to 1900 - 2200

Well give it a try regardless, but be prepared to experiment and always listen to your body.

My body is telling me that's it's flippin sore from Deadlifts, T-Bar and 50kg sandbags sprints and doesn't want to go though a shoulder workout today.

Yeah, shoulders feature somewhere in practically every workout for me these days... ouch... sympathies :)

The carbs seem way to high... I have a spreadsheet for working it out, just trying to find the damn thing.

I prefer range of motion - using a smith machine doesn't allow your body to follow an optimal lift path.

If I know I'm going to try for a max, either by weight or repetition, I ask my wife to spot me, the person spotting doesn't have to be strong at all, they literally have to take a few kg off.

+1

Agree with this, when I need a spot trying a new PR, it usually is just that last extra 2.5-5kg that is the problem, and literally anyone can help with that if you do get stuck, the rest I will lift myself to get the bar back up.

I hope no one is silly enough to add 10-20kg more than they should on a new PR.

Yeah, again, more isolated too. It's designed for up and down and definitely takes some of the kgs off since you're never pushing directly up and down. My one major gripe with home gym is the limited space I share with my SO. I need a decent squat rack but am trying to find space between cardio equipment and other (the cardio stuff takes up so much space).

Had an awesome bench session last night, feeling it today.
BUT forgot half my protein snacks/lunch at home , dammit.

Anyway, has anyone tried 1 arm dumbell deadlift, I had a go last night, loaded up a dumbell with 60kg as a tester after my chest session and it feels like something I can add to back day.
