Why tempt fate? If your body is saying no, why force it and risk injury? Recovery is the most important component of building muscle.

Well, I am told that if your muscles are not burning as you gym and if you don't feel pain and stiffness a day or two after then you have wasted a hour of your life in gym. After 5 minutes on the treadmill I could feel my muscles in my arms feeling better. I could actually bend them. Perhaps increased circulation or raise in body temp? Did the legs and abs again last night. First time I did squats and lunges. Legs are OK today, but I have noticed that my muscles only get sore and stiff two days after the workout. Arms today are feeling much better. Hopefully the muscle aches and stiffness will not be so severe anymore as I get accustomed to working out.

Dude, most probably its Zinc, with magnesium and not sure what the A stands for, Zinc is known to "help" with raising your testosterone, but in all honesty, NON of the natural test boosters work, you can drink them for now, nothing will happen, most probably the zinc will be more beneficial for your skin than muscle building ;-), rather don't waste your money on crap like this again, stay with a good diet, Creatine, Glutamine and BCAA's.

Did not actually buy it. Saw it when I went to PNP Hyper to get my Evox protein and Cipla pre-workout. Saw Testo Boost and that sounded like a good thing. But thank you, wont waste my money on it. :)

Cool,
Also when you buy a preworkout again, rather go for creapump, its cheaper than most other preaorkouts, and contains everything you need. Think its +- R200, well last time i used it though.

I may post here again when I need to buy pre-workout again in case I forget the name or you people have discovered something better. I went for the Evox Whey Protein because in the thread I created Evox seemed to be popular with you people. The Cipla pre-workout I got because it seemed to contain a lot of things, including Creatine, and I remember from my lurking days a thread on here somewhere about Cipla and they starting to do Nutrition and they are very good. So I just went for that seeing that they are a well known Pharmaceutical company.

I would like to ask if anyone knows where to get caffeine powder?
I can only find pills but I'm looking for the powder to mix my own preworkout.
Truenutrition overseas sells 100g for like R90 which a great price compared to local prices of 120 caps with a total weight of 24g costing about R105

So far the other bag of caffeine someone can get for me is 25kgs LOL

Thanks for any help

Is that a good idea? The pre-workout I use already makes my skin tingle. Don't know if it would be a good idea to mix in yet another stimulant?

Most but not all preworkouts have caffeine with varying amounts in them. Often between 150-250mgs, IF they say on the label. Found a website the other day that listed the caffeine amount in a bunch of popular preworkouts (overseas brands)

That beta alinine with it's tingly feeling, still can't decide if I like it :)

Ja. I dont mind it, but it does feel a bit strange. Kind of like ants crawling out of my ears. A bit distracting while driving on my way to the gym :)

stay with a good diet, Creatine, Glutamine and BCAA's.

After buying Glutamine in a stack combo (pre and whey) I did some further reading and so far the opinions are favoured towards it doesn't actually do anything, still gonna use it seeing as I bought it but never again will I fall for a stack deal. . .

I'm also interested in the caffeine powder as I want to try my hand at my own pre workout as I've also heard it is way cheaper. .

Yeah, I'm not saying you mustn't work hard when at the gym. I'm saying it's silly hitting the same muscles the very next day before they have had time to recover/repair.

Sore and stiff after 2 days is DOMS.
doms

Delayed onset muscle soreness, also called muscle fever, is the pain and stiffness felt in muscles several hours to days after unaccustomed or strenuous exercise. The soreness is felt most strongly 24 to 72 hours after the exercise. ...

Yes, blood circulation will help your recovery so anyhting that gets your blood pumping the next day or two is a good thing.

Nope. We alternate. One day chest/arms back and then the next legs/abs

Who would have thought there is actually a name for my delayed stiffness and pain. Interesting. Thank you.:)

When I messaged my friend last night to tell him he killed me at the gym I got this as a reply. Nothing more had to be said :)

The noob is back with more questions.

So it has been a few weeks since I started exercising at home and I have seen nice improvement in the size of my legs, chest and arms. Definition is getting there but reckon you first need muscles before you can define them :p

For the past week and a half I have not really felt any stiffness in my bones and muscles the following day.

Is this normal? Or am I not doing enough? Because I have definitely upped the weight on all my exercises and push myself harder every time.

I only use Creatine and Protein Whey as supplements. Still sticking to the LCHF lifestyle.

I am no expert. I have been told by my gym buddy that if you are not sore and stiff afterwards, then you are doing it wrong. What you need to do is basically cause little tears and damage to your muscles. When your body then repair this damage by creating new muscle tissue, this is how you grow your muscle. This is also why protein is so important when you train, because your body needs this to do the repairs. Also why you drink your protein shake after your workout. This is when your body needs it most.

Don't know how runners do it.

Running is actually easier since you will be able to use compression gear to avoid some injury and speed up recovery. If I don't do a 10km after leg-day I am pretty poked - the running for 40 mins will give enough blood-flow to speed up recovery.
