The other variation is neutral grip. IIRC they said on T-nation that neutral grip is the way to go if you don't wanna develop (shoulder?) issues though I suppose variation is good.

Get the Verimark Maxxus pullup bar from Verimark or Game for R199, then you dont even have to trek to gym to get a workout. I got one and it's awesome and has all 3 grips. Supports up to a max of 120kg.

Ahhh that's what it's called!

I actually have one of those at home, cost me R400 though from sportsmans warehouse :O

Hey buds

Its been a long time since I was active on here. I have just done some Google searching on BSSA supplements and I'm shocked to see how many of you were disappointed with our lack of communication and bad service in 2012.

I'm truly sorry for that.

We have turned the whole thing around since the beginning of the year and our orders are delivered within 3 - 5 days max. If anyone has any problems in future please mail me directly and I'll sort it straight away.

These days we only get recommendations, no more stiff lips :)

Once again I'm really sorry for the bad service in 2012.

Regards

So okes...Phil Heath takes the crown again for the 3rd time :). Many say Kai should have won, but I think Phil's overall physique is better. Kai is a bit too big IMO. Jay placed 6th...what a let down. His career is done for real this time.

I use this as well - have tried the chocolate and cookies and cream so far - both taste awesome and mix very easily.

My favourite is banana creame

Finishing chocolate and cookies at the moment, a bit sweet - got Chocolate mint in the cupboard.

I also don't think you can beat the price.

Google it, you won't be disappointed.

Does that whey taste anything like the Evox Cookies & Cream?

I tried USN vanilla and Evox Cookies and Cream, one won't even blend, the other tastes like crap (imo)

Maybe I just can't take the taste of whey. But I will try nutritech next time.

Besides ON, its the best tasting whey I've had, I actually wonder if the nutritional breakdown is correct :p

Not 100% on the blending, I usually toss in a few other things, so use a hand blender.

Hi All. Has anyone here ordered online from www.bodybuilding.com? I see they ship to SA. Just wondered if its worth using them and if i'll run into any issues with customs.

Last year, arrived after about two months, depending on what you order, it may be detained by customs.

Recommend me a Whey Protein that doesn't taste like **** and mixes well.

Good afternoon InternetSwag

Our Chocolate Isolate fit that description perfectly, but unfortunately we don't have any stock of it at his stage, and I can't tell you when we will. I'm looking for an alternative mixing company as the one we used got too expensive. And our whole point is top quality at affordable prices. So we only do unflavored proteins now.

Pure unflavored Whey concentrate will always taste very milkish and the UK whey we had was cheap but mixed difficult and taste was not good.

But the USA Whey concentrate we have now is tops and I would say it is kicking dirt in the Netherlands whey's face. It mixes completely with only a fork and its got a creamy neutral flavor. Very nice protein and I am super impressed with it. And at R190/kg it is great value for money.

Our Isolate is also good- mixes smooth and doesn't taste so much Diary like the Concentrates.

Then we have Pea Protein Isolate. Its taste can be described as very legume- and it is one of our best sellers now. The amino acid profile is very similar to the whey's profile. Also very high in protein especially for a non diary derived protein at 85%.

The newest protein member in our arsenal is slow releasing Casein. It mixes like a dream, very neutral taste, very low in lactose and carbs, and extremely high in protein content at 91.1 - 93%. Great when taking just before bed time.

All our proteins are currently unflavored, and our consumers flavors it with Nesquick, coffee, cocoa, Milo, Peanut Butter, or fruits which they add to the shake in a blender.

It keeps our product cheap and your shake can taste like you want it to taste. Guys will always complain about flavored Protein as you can never cater for everyone's taste.

And the main reason is it keeps our Protein content per bag much higher than the flavored protein you will buy. We don't have any empty flavoring and coloring fillers in our product which will bring down your Protein % per gram. For example, from our 1kg bag of Concentrate you know you get at least 810 - 830g pure protein, where with a flavored concentrate you are going to get around 680g to 720g. With our 1kg Isolate you know you will get at least 900 - 930g of pure protein where you will get around 750 - 800g with a flavored product.

Here is the link to our proteins.

Phil's physique is just perfect.

question regarding squatting - thanks to my heated debate with some crossfit friends

when squatting to parallel or below parallel, should you feet point slightly outwards or be straight forward?
I say slightly outwards

Also have my feet slightly out.
But I suppose its what's comfortable when you're squatting

Slightly out. I remember watching a video where some ifbb pro said that to find a good stance, drop down from a pull up bar, and your foot position when you land is how you should squat.

Google it, you won't be disappointed.

Evox cookies and cream is one of the most disgusting foul effing things i have ever tasted, ever

Im looking for a post workout recovery drink.
I am not interested in bulking up whatsoever, I just need something to help me recover from my workouts in the morning so that I can play squash in the evenings.

Any recommendations?

Slightly outwards.

You will find it is more comfortable and easier on your knees, but if it doesn't hurt with heavy weights while pointing straight forward, that is fine. Remember every person is different, what work for most may not work for everyone, so it is not a 100% correct or 0% correct, it is literally, when you get to a plateau, you will start looking at things you can change to break through it. You may find, if you always had feet straight forward, point slightly outwards may help you break through that plateau, it could be something else too.

Yeah, crossfit. The new fad. These guys see something wrong with everything non-crossfit related. I had a guy telling me my deadlift form was completely incorrect
