The majority of the ON price is because of import duties, so it's not even a case of getting what you pay for? The only time i ever bought ON whey was via Amazon USA and had my aunt bring it with her when she came to visit SA. She got hit with customs duty and penalties (for not declaring it... they were packed alone in big cardboard boxes, kinda a dead giveaway :p). It was still way cheaper than SA prices!!

Case in point, state side for 2.25kg it costs just under R600 (@R11 per USD):

Currently on Nutritech
100% Pure Whey - Bagged
Bought 3 bags when they where on spacial , not bad at all, just people complain about smell when I mix a shake.

I see RageNurtrition has 3.2 kg tub for R619 - good price?

Chromeshop has it for R599...but I have to pay for shipping from Chrome. From Rage I get free courier shipping so obviously I buy from there :)

Complain about the smell? Really? I've used vanilla, cookies and cream and strawberry so far and they all have been delicious. Maybe your colleagues have hyper sense of smell :D

Went to one of the pharmacies to see if they had Nutritech 100% whey.

Yup, 3.2 kg 100% pure whey for R570! :D (with all the flavours nogal!)

You perhaps in the Northern Suburbs by any chance eh? Haha. Wish I could get it locally. But no one seems to stock it here.

Seems there is a place in Sea Point here in CT that stocks it...R585 per tub. Not bad.

Will perhaps use them next time.

My man if this is your first time on Gaba you are in for the recovery sleep of your life! Great for sleep, reducing stress and anxiety, and the most important part for body builders- It increases your natural Human Growth hormones, so you will burn fat and add lean mass while sleeping like a baby.

Go and google Gaba too. Some people are getting off their Schedule 5 sleeping and depression medicines.

I did just that. The HGH benefits I am not too concerned about - but certainly a plus though I am yet to find a lot of in depth scientific studies on it - as my main reason is for the better sleep. All the papers and sites I found all had the same conclusion; Gaba increases deep sleep and lessens anxiety. Now I don't suffer from anxiety, but I do struggle at times to sleep properly even during training times. Will start at a 2g dose and see how it effects it and scale up or keep it there depending on effect.

Great stuff. Please give your feedback after the first night ;)

Hey guys, been perusing this for a while. Trying to get into a decent shape. Been doing the LCHF for a while and making progress.

I just signed up to a gym and have been looking into programs. I've been back about 50 pages into this thread, and can't really remember, but what do you guys think about the Stronglifts 5x5?

Whoah, definitely sounds like something I need.

Brilliant program. Focusing on the basic and most important core lifts. Cannot got wrong.

Havent been on it for long, but it has definitely given my core muscles a work out, and for me its therefore a great success. My "primary muscles" (like quads, triceps etc) were all way too strong for what my core can support, after only 2 weeks SL5x5 I can feel a huge difference in my core

Shot dot :) Will be starting tomorrow.

Thanks, it's good to hear. I suffer from back issues occasionally, nothing hectic but I'm sure this will help.

Did RDL's yesterday for the first time in 6 weeks - never a big fan of them as I could never figure out how the hell they were suppose to work the hamstrings - but, today I can feel my hamstrings took a beating for the first time in ages.

Guess it really does work your hamstrings...and gives you a killer grip work out.

How do you guys roll RDL's? Overhand grip (me) or alternate grip?

Okay, so it's been just over a week with me cycling Universal's Animal Stak and M-stak. Results are as follows:

I just want to eat and f**k everything!

I'll eat a huge meal and be hungry 3 hours later. Libido has shot through the roof. I've upped my strength significantly and also my endurance. I'll post updates in another two weeks when the product is done.

I prefer regular deadlifts but I do alternate grip for both unless I'm using straps, which I always do when I go heavy.
