Yea I think it's two days on 1 day off I think.

Can't recall precisely, been a while since I was in the game.

Cool - much like Mike Chang's workout. Anywhere I can find a good workout plan out there?

Had a fat slob throwing weights around in the gym last night. He would pull the weights off the barbell and drop them straight onto the floor. Pissed me right off.

Hey guys

Quick question, I've been running a strength based 5 x 5 program for a while now, aiming to hit 140kg for 5 reps on the squat, and 180kg for 5 on the deadlift by the end of the program, squats at 130kg atm and deadlift at 150kg, but I feel as if my form is starting to slip as the weight gets heavier... You guys mind if I take some videos on my squats and deads and then uploading them to get some critique on my form?

Sure, what you must also remember is that there's more to strength than muscle. You need the frame, connecting tissue and cardio system to support it as well. As long as you're aiming for a reasonable figure for those parameters, it should be doable. IMO if form is slipping, rather stick at that weight until you're comfortable with going up. It might also be time to shake it up and change your regime for 6 weeks or so before going back.

*EDIT* no speedo pics please :p
p.s. What do you weigh?

Hi All
Looking for a bit of clarity.....
I've recently started hitting the gym to attack my boep, been spending the majority of my time on cardio (bike and treadmill). After a 20minute intense bike session, it says I burnt 98 Kcal. What exactly is this? I read somewhere that 1 Kcal = 1 calorie - does this mean that I only burnt 98 calories in that whole session? Seems quite low to me....

I don't know how accurate those estimations are, but yes. Start doing some weights man ;)

Almost! 1 kcal = 1 000 calories (that is what the k is for, i.e. kilo).

However, sometime in the good old fitness industry, you will see calories in uppercase or the first letter in uppercase, which is the equivalent of kcal, i.e. 1 kcal = 1 CALORIE, or 1 kcal = 1 Calorie.

If the mericans would just start using SI units, we wouldn't have these confusions.

All that work for just 98 calories burnt? I think the avocado pear I'm about to chow has more calories than that.
I have been doing weights as well (the blokes with the big guns at the gym call it "resistance" training).

So I burnt 98000 calories? Now that seems way too much again
Aai, this is confusing...

Avocado is high in fat, so yes, probably. Do some squats, deadlifts and benchpress exercises.
