190kg deadlift today, probably would've managed 200kg... but when I tried afterwards I was dead...slow progress, but getting there. Hoping to have it over 300kg next year this time.
I'm not sure... considering they bitched when I walked around with a small bag for knee wraps and chalk - it wouldn't surprise me.
One way to find out...
I'm currently hiding my chalk from them because I'm sure they'll moan about it.
This is why I do deadlifts ONLY on one day. I will do two of 265kg (not reps, one rep, then rest, and then another one). Then maybe another set of 8 - 10 of 180, then I stumble to my car and go home.
Which VA is this? I'm at Tygervalley, nobody has ever complained about the chalk (actually I use resin) I used. I bitched a bit once when the cleaner vacuumed the chalk from the floor as I was about to lift.
VA Rules said:No food, drinks or bags are allowed on the training floor, with the exception of water bottles.

Yeh - I did six sets before attempting the 190kgI was dead when I wanted to try 200kg
Canal Walk - I checked the rules last week- there's nothing on chalk - so I'm happily using mine... There is something on bags though
I will tell you something, if they want to stop me from using chalk for deadlifting, I will cancel my debit order and go find another gym. But I also try to not make an excessive mess. Anyway, it's easy to vacuum the chalk from the rubber mats. I've never had an issue in years.
Yeh - I was surprised the difference it made, I was struggling to hold onto 100-120kg with gloves or straps (which I don't like using) - I then bought chalk a month or so ago, and immediately added over 40kg to the lifts... and no more slipping, I can actually keep the grip.
Straps and gloves are for sisses :twisted:
Just put it in the shake with protein and blend...

couple raisins, say 40g.
and blend.
