He could then just measure his waist and neck... and use the army calculation![]()
A quick calculation that way puts me at 13%
I'd add around 20% to that... so make it 16%... its quite conservative.
None of the calculators ever work for me, a proper evaluation is the only thing that will do it. On a standard BMI calculation im "morbidly obese"![]()
Anyone know of a gym that would be able to give proper advice on lifting technique?
My squats literally died after I hurt my hip in December - and I just can't get them right...went from 150kg full to struggling with 95kg.
Don't trust advice from Virgin.
Perhaps it's not your technique, but your body. What type of injury did you sustain?
Bumping this thread..Signed up just to post here..Any of you guys used KT tape for your wrists for support? My wrists always give out too soon, this is also atrributed to my poor grip strength.
Do you use straps?

Haven't tried them yet..Would it not be pointless on excercises like dumbell presses etc?
Xrapidx uses kt tape when his elbow was injured if I recall, he says great stuff.
On what lift are your wrists giving out and how much you lifting?
yes it would
but I was thinking in terms of deadlifts etc, and was going to advise against using them for a while.. but no need then
if your wrists are hurting on db presses then your grip is probably wrong
On my db shoulder press mainly, having problems getting 24s up..also on my db press getting the 30s up...once I'm up I usually get somebody to spot my wrists and I'm good to go.Might not seem too heavy but I'm only 16![]()
