"Trade deals take many years to establish"

SA signs a post-Brexit agreement with UK
UK wants Brexit to become independent from the EU and have control of their own trade agreements.

Signs trade agreements with SA (and other countries) that exactly mirror the trade conditions these nations currently enjoy with the EU.

Lol, you'll just find a problem with anything.

Proof that it is the same as the EU agreements with SA?
And then that's not the point of Brexit to sign new trade agreements with countries outside the EU. The point is to divorce from the EU.

Which the UK can modify (with the agreement of their trade partners) with greater ease than if they were just one country in the EU.

Of course the trade agreements now are simply copy/paste from the EU agreements but that is because the UK hasn't had time to diverge on standards yet. The UK might, for example, develop a culture in which there are looser labour standards than currently enjoyed by the EU or the UK might decide to have higher environmental standards.

They, yes THEY made it out to be such a massive thing to negotiate new trade deals and and and. Then the must retarded Government probably in the world closes a deal with the UK even before Brexit :D

Because not having an agreement in place would hurt SA more than Britain. So this probably more due to the most restarted government than anything else

It's invariably more difficult where there are more equal partners.

SA is 25th-28th on the list. About half of the trading partners above them are in the EU, and the other half not.

So how many of the 12-13 non EU trading partners have they concluded negotiations with thus far? They've had at least a couple of years already

So why again do you need to pay the EU large sums of money to do this?

Three years is many years and thats with an unequal trading partner.
It is actually just problematic with an unequal trading partner. Where they try and work in some protectionism for British industry, because we have(are supposed to have)cheap labour...

With two eqaul partners it is much easier as there isn't any balancing required.

Shame...you need to stop spreading fake news/poppy cock grand conspiracies:

Funny how you have no such qualms about bringing Johnson the liar to task.

How any people has he lied to now?

The Queen

Parliament

His editor

His wife

His girlfriend

66 million Britons

And I'm sure I've missed a few.

In this case it isnt as problematic, its just the same deal as before and it still took three years  . In the case of European trading partners its going to be far harder as for starters you cant use the same deal.

2 years,

And yes, that is what happens if you do the work when this was voted for and not sit and hope Brexit will not be a reality. The Leftists have given the public false hope and now it's a shyte show because of it...

"I don't like the idea that the European way of life is opposed to migration. Accepting those that come from far away is part of the European way of life," Juncker told Euronews.

#Brexit, soon to be followed by other #[insert other European country]xit soon.

It wasn't 3 years of actual negotiations and working on the plan.

3 years and the rest is besides the point as per your initial proclamation. If it takes 3 years to negotiate an unchanged deal with Southern Africa, how long is it going to take with the rest of Europe? In fact this point you tried to make does the opposite of what you think it does.

If you only start running 2 seconds after the gun has gone off its still time counted.

I think the bilateral trade sits at around £7 billion. So peanuts.

3 years for a deal that accounts for less than 1.2% of all of the UK's trade. This deal was signed with a group of Southern African countries, which as a whole contribute to 1.2% of all UK trade.

Legal action begins against Boris Johnson forcing through no-deal Brexit

Pro-EU QCs Joanna Cherry MP and Jo Maugham will ask judges to fine or imprison the Prime Minister if he ignores a new Act of Parliament passed by MPs this week.

The Act demands he sends a letter asking the EU to delay Brexit by three months, beyond October 31, if there’s no consensus by the middle of next month.

Yet Mr Johnson has claimed he will still leave on October 31, with ministers suggesting he will “test the limits” of the law.

The QCs issued proceedings in Edinburgh’s Court of Session - the same court that ruled on Wednesday the Parliament suspension was unlawful.

They are calling for an "order for specific performance of [the Prime Minister's statutory] duties under the Act."

Their petition adds consequences of the failure to obey could include "fine and imprisonment" if consistent with the Act.

Cummings to the press: Get out of London and see what people think.

Scottish judges: Prorogation is illegal and Johnson lied to the Queen.
