Categorical, definitive proof that the so called fear campaign from Remainers was accurate and called it, as it would be.

Proof that the leave campaign was built up of lies and fairy tales.

Good bye frictionless trade, hello regulatory checks, additional paperwork and and and.

I thought Brexit was meant to break free from the EU beauracrecy? Seems like it was all about making it more beauracratic, adding additional trade barriers, reducing free market capitalism. For what?

Haha, and I wonder what the “NI arrangements” will be?

Who am I kidding, of course the Tories will sell them out and treat them as second class citizens as usual.

But that is what the Brexiteers voted for. FULL CONTROL of their borders. It it means check and shyte so be it. It has been democratically determined to be the way forward. Give it a rest ...

EU SEEKING “UNIQUE” FTA WITH UK

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has confirmed the UK will get a bespoke trade deal with the EU, rather than a carbon copy of another country’s settlement. Another victory for Vote Leave, who always said the UK would secure exactly this…

In a statement to the EU Parliament in Strasbourg, von der Leyen said she was willing to negotiate a zero tariff and zero quota relationship for goods – something that no third country currently enjoys with the bloc. However, the Ursula von der Leyen did say the EU is seeking a level playing field…

This is not the sting in the tail many think it is. Brexiteers shouldn’t confuse a level playing field with regulatory alignment – or even dynamic alignment – with EU rules. Even the EU’s ‘Canada deal’ has some shallow level playing field provisions, and Leavers should keep an open mind to the phrase – as long as it is along the lines of non-regression rather than rule taking. The devil is in the detail, not the soundbites…

(And notice Q4 figures would have been affected by the election).

They voted for control without such checks. They literally said so. I posted a picture of how they claimed so.

Remain said sure, if you do that you will incur all this additional bureaucracy, which will lead to costs, delays and may lead to job losses.

Leave said BS! Project fear.

Now the reality is exactly as what Remain predicted.

They voted LEAVE, and were content with whatever that entailed. No amount of whining and finger pointing will change the results. It's done. Luckily, the people of the UK have embraced it and they are working to make this a success. Unlike others who constantly point fingers and whine...

This is exactly what should have happened from the start/ However remoaners gave the EU false hope. Now that it's a done deal (leaving) the EU all of a sudden realize they have to make it work for themselves too and not try and play hard arse anymore.
Except the UK have said they will reject the level playing field rules, which is currently the red line in the sand for the EU.

You have no clue.

It is the same as voting for a factory to be built in your town.

The pro factory guys says its just a factory, it will be great.

The anti factory guys say it is a factory that produces nuclear radiation and will poison our water.

Bah Project fear!!!

Pro factory wins. Factory is built and nukes the town. You got your factory after all, who cares about the details.

Lol troll harder.
I'm not trolling, I'm genuinely asking why you think the UK has the advantage in the negotiations?
I know you probably have no idea, which is why you throw out the 'troll harder' inanity but I'll ask anyway in the hope that you actually have a reasonable answer.

Because they've already left. Nothing is keeping them back.

Wow. Ok then. You clearly misunderstand the whole situation.

The negotiations are not about the EU trying to get the UK back in.

These are negotiations that the UK want with the EU to secure a free trade agreement.

A free trade agreement for 45% of the UK's entire exports and 53% of all its imports.

For the EU its a negotiation for something that only accounts for 8% of its goods and services exports.

Tell me again how the UK has the advantage if the worse that can happen for the EU is it gets tariffs on 8% of its trade, compared to the UK where 53% of its imports will be affected.

Yep - a trade agreement where EU = 450 million people and UK = 60 million people.
Clearly the UK has the advantage
