I'm confused, can you explain the "follow no deal no longer being possible ,not before" part? I'm not sure what you mean

The opposition parties have all said that they want an election but won’t call a vote for it until such time as they have removed any chance of a no deal exit happening.

The current position is that if parliament is dissolved or not sitting they wouldn’t be able to take any action to prevent Bojo if he was to ignore the Benn Act and just sit back and let no deal happen on the 31st of October.

Thank you sir

And once again the Australian shows his ignorance and cluelessness of the UK...

The opposition are aware the the government gets to choose Election day, so if they called a no confidence vote now and dissolve parliament Bojo could turn around and name November 1st as election day. They have all said that the election will follow no deal no longer being possible, not before.

I said the same thing yesterday. Seems like Chris just ignores the bits that don’t suit his narrative.

More cluelessness from the Australian living in South Africa who has no idea of how things work in the UK.

Unlike the US, the UK Supreme Court justices are not chosen by politicians.

Actually, I did know that. Here's the thing, the Lord Chancellor (who is very much a politician of the governing party) can reject the nomination

Of course there is another alternative that you are deliberately leaving out and that is there can be another MP who can 'command the majority' of the house without an election (if a VONC succeeds). What the divisions among Remainer MPs is showing in fact is no-one can temporarily command a majority. Lib Dems won't support Corbyn, Corbyn is unlikely to support another Labour MP or Conservative MP.

Also again, the bill passed does not prevent No Deal in all circumstances, it is specifically related to the 31 October date, there will potentially be another cliff edge in 31 January 2020 or whatever the EU decides on the date. The UK parliament cannot actually prevent No Deal, the bill requires the acquiesce of the EU. The possibility of a No Deal after 1 November will still be there, it just won't be in the immediate future.

Agreed, but nothing to do with the current refusal to call a election before the 31st of October.

Nope, wrong again, go read the procedure again, he can only delay the nomination.

At Stage Three (i.e. when the Lord Chancellor has both rejected and asked once for reconsideration), the name put forward by the commission must be accepted and forwarded to the Prime Minister, with one caveat: in the event the commission was asked to reconsider a name and then forwarded a new name, the Lord Chancellor may choose to accept the earlier name.

UK's Attorney General Geoffrey Cox launched into an explosive attack against Parliament in the House of Commons today.

Hahaha, the time is coming....the time is coming, not even these turkeys can prevent Christmas......

You have no idea what you are talking about.

At the moment it’s a handful of MP’s from Northern Ireland they have got Boris by the balls.
when you have someone by the balls you don't need the court to fight your fight for you ... /the end

Sargon of akkad has pretty good coverage on all things Brexit.
Especially on the Supreme Court ruling.

Obviously not good if you only care about supporting your team and facts and stuff doesn't interest you.

I only listen to people on Twitter, as Twitter is the moral authority on all things.
