Only Liberals are arrogant enough to believe "they didn't know what they were voting for".

Wait for the next part of the Boris 2-step. Right foot forward to get elected, then left foot forward when elected.

Like Blair before him, who turned labour slightly more right wing, he is going turn the Tories slightly left wing, especially as far as the North is concerned. Expect Rees-Mugg to be an early casualty:)

This is where Corbyn and Farage screwed up. The Brits generally hate the political extremes

One of the best comments I saw urged people to not keep protesting against the new majority government - they didn't vote themselves into power.

It looks like a massive Labour postmortem has already begun - even people like Owen Jones are saying things that make sense for once. This election wasn't really won through the Tories being amazing or anything, I'll admit it. Labour just continuously kept shooting itself in the foot until it became an easy choice for the voters in its strongholds in the Midlands and the North.

He has said he's going to stand down and as he isn't actually a communist is likely to do so, the sooner the better though.

Any real leader would step down immediately given it's Labour's worst result since 1935. But of course, he wants to control who gets elected to continue his program of a socialist nirvana and that person will be Rebecca Wrong-Daily.

Surely they realise that Johnson is Prime Minister since July?

Lefties are quite slow on the uptake - not the sharpest tools in the box. Look at how all the parliamentary shenanigans were cheered to the rafters by many in this thread, who clearly have very little understanding how such nonsense played out with normal voters (they seemingly think UK twitter represents a majority opinion). The 2017-2019 parliament was a complete disgrace and now, the Remoaners have got their comeuppance and Boris can do what he wants unimpeded.

Here's another video of the woke twats:

Lol. So let me get this straight. You get your news and views from Twitter and constantly post Tweets from your heroes, yet now say that Twitter is not representative of ordinary people in the U.K.

And then post a Tweet to prove it?

:erm:

But to top it off, you’ve never lived in the U.K. Never voted in the U.K. You are born in Australia, live in South Africa, you presume to think you know what “normal” people in the U.K. want, probably having never met any or seen a “normal” community, and then you have the gall to tell the people who live and actually voted there that they have no understanding of what is going on?

Yet you do. From reading Twitter?

So how does that work for you and not for people who live there?

An absolute majority will give greater leverage in political decisions.

Dig?

Sure. But other than Brexit, what have they failed to push through the last 9 years in government? Or indeed the last 30 out of 40 years they’ve been in power?
