Visited 420 cafe over the weekend and what a strange place it is. Mix of cultures, everyone minding their own business and everyone is high. We got high from just sitting at a table.

You go have a seat at a table and order some drinks. Crazy expensive AF. R60 a Red square. Then the waiter brings a menu with different strains and edibles. Choose what you want and pay with cash. Cards are accepted but they charge fees. There's even a lady walking around selling dabs.
We didn't smoke there but you can buy papers or bring your own and light it up.

I bought 1g Sour diesel and 1g Super cheese, R250 and R270 respectively. Also bought 3 brownies at R60 each. Crazy expensive but good quality. On our way back home I ate 1/2 a brownie. I kid you not I was high for probably 5hours, I went to bed high.
Weed is strong as well, the Sour diesel genuinely has a diesel smell to it. The Super cheese smokes nice, thick smooth smoke.

Thought I'd share the experience with fellow stoners.:)

Nice report smkungfu. That is crazy expensive for a gram. Do you know if 420 cafe has any relation to 420 monkeys? Can you take your own vaporizers?

Maaan! And I was starting to prefer Cannasutra, and then Bobby goes and peaks my interests again.

I just Wich BGH has the consistency in his batches, I think I should also pop them a mail asking which strains they use.

Dont bother, they dont release this information because they know they would be taken to pieces by people who are trying to make a proper product. Bobby doesnt grow his own, he relies on rural growers in Swaziland to make the bulk of his product, which in my opinion is of a low enough quality that i wouldnt even want to smoke it.

Entirely geared for people with low tolerances I feel.

Ive questioned them before on their processes and ingredients etc and I got flamed from a dizzy height for just asking.

Better options out there.

No relation to 420monkeys, I asked. Sure, you can take your own vaporizers, you're even allowed to bring your own weed.

In that case Cannasutra is a good option as they have no problem sharing the THC contents and strains they use.

yes he was nailed because of his land lord.

I seem to remember a comment being dropped about this potential situation before he moved... eish.. Angelos is one of the good guys, despite what happened with all that Pachamama bullshit. Got some shrooms from Jeanie recently which were quite nice, and have been getting seeds on and off from Angelos for a while.

So how would a case like this work whereby its legal in the laws eyes(just the growing) but your landlord 'doesnt like it'.WOuld it need to be written into the lease?

At the end of the day its the land lords property, they can issue you a notice of eviction.

@Surv0 - I'm not clued up on the Pachamama fiasco what happened there? All I know is that those guys are a dodgy as F bunch and would not trust them at all for what they're selling.

Up to the landlord and the agreement. Same case with animals, landlord can say no, and you must abide, regardless that animals are legal etc.

Basically just boils down to some dirty spaniards who recruited some unsavoury types to sell their white labelled seeds. Apparently these guys were screwing over the agents in some way, possible threats, and these agents were stealing money and replacing apparent genetics with **** genetics and reselling. Theres quite a bit of kak inbetween, and loads of people saying their money was taken without any goods. Not to say this was Pachamama's fault, but Pachamama took no responsibility and ultimately just cut ties with everything and tried to rebrand locally.

Angelos was their first agent, and was super keen to make it work, which he tried to do, but all the politics and ties to dodgy agents quickly made him realise he needs to pull out. At that point went on to look into Mushigoat seeds but hasnt really gotten that off the ground. His partner was the one who stole money from alot of people, and many of them blamed Angelos I think. Its the typical situation where people take advantage of a new market, and make themselves some cash as the expense of others.

It was at this point I thought to myself that I was way to active and decided to shut down my roles and just continue with my growing and oil processing. The cannabis community in SA can be toxic, the ones with an agenda anyway, and because of the legality issues, people think they can use these to take advantage of others.

Ill keep educating and teaching people how to grow their own so as to help prevent people claiming monopolies.

That whole cannabis working group created by Bobby and co also pisses me off.. they are in it to create a monopolized industry when the plant should be freely available to everybody in what ever form.

Agreed I can't help but think the CDCSA is also going to be detrimental to the canna culture. I know OASeeds are kind of known for their dodgy genetics labelled as other items. That is kind of the reason I won't ever support local seed banks if they can't back up their lineage or produce sealed breeder packs.

100%.

Some local breaders as well are absolute assholes. The guys who have been selling clandastine like for the last number of years suddenly had the toes stepped on by boat loads of people trying to grow their own and ask questions. These guys protected their interest like guard dogs and ultimately put alot of people off. They got even more pissed off when people were ordering in bulk from oversees and reselling at next to cost for people who were interested. Just claim you understood what genetics you were growing and they would interrogate you, holier than thou attitudes.
When its all legal, these guys would fade into obscurity.

I have to respectfully disagree - it is not akin to animals and leases. A residential property is let for the full use and enjoyment and what one does, legally in the privacy of their own homes, has nothing to do with landlord. A pet clause is in leases because pets may cause unlawful damage - and even then a landlords consent cannot be 'unreasonably' withheld. It is rather similar to alcohol - a landlord may not like it but he cannot include a clause stating you cant drink in the property being let - it would be an unenforceable clause as it violates your (now) constitutional rights.

The biggest problem is that the law has yet to be properly legislated and thus a lot is up to 'interpretation' and most cops will always abuse that and ignore or misinterpret against the individual and make people go through the criminal process etc. But as for just private smoking tiny amounts in ones dwelling - rented or not - there is nothing the landlord can do about it.

Thanks for the info. What if the agreement had a clause for smoking cannabis or doing drugs before the judgement was made? Does this become invalid as is against ones rights and a new contract should be drawn up, or does the initial agreement stand? I guess a no smoking clause is a no smoking clause however outside is more than fine.

Was a bit underwhelmed with the Mountain girl strain I tried yesterday, I hit about 1g in a blunt, and it got me slightly buzzed for about 45mins and then, straight sober.... Left me feeling kinda hung over also.

4/10
Was it from 420? It's ok but definitely not the best quality. Didn't have as much as you though, maybe 1/3 of 1g. Also went through a fair bit of it in other sessions, the write up on leafy was nowhere the mark, seemed very dry (my batch) and definitely didn't have much staying power. Also got that groggy feeling from it.

Yeah, 420m.

Leafy was talking about giggles, and feeling good and munchies, but I had none of that, I was just really groggy afterwards.

To be honest, it was almost like taxi rank jut...

I don't mind paying premium for weed, as long as it REALLY is PREMIUM.
Seems a problem we're facing now is trying to find a "shop" offering consistent product/strain honesty.

They are certainly out there, but it can take a while to find, as you may have to filter through multiple suppliers initially.
(This is a common problem for new consumers).

As things scale & popularity increases many do take advantage for profit.

Hopefully encouraging more to share their purchase experience to value all readers;) (of course only if their supplier wants public attention).
