This whole indoor hydro thing really bugs me. People, there is no difference. Nix, nill, null, zip, zero.

The only difference is one is most likely grown in soil and "hydro" is soil-less, usually grown in coco or directly in water, seriously makes zippo difference, so paying extra is just down right silly IMO. All hydro means is growing without soil, which is done mostly to avoid bugs and it is easier to control nutrient feeding. But does it make the bud better. No.

What is actually important is the grower, you can get some mad stuff grown indoor in soil and some crap weed that was grown in a NFT / flood and drain system.

Just wanted to get that off my chest. Have a happy day everyone! :)

I don't know anything about growing and the whole setup seems pretty daunting so I have to rely on other sources.....So i dont know anything about the specifics or technicalities but there is certainly a difference in quality with the outdoor/greenhouse people sell, and then the more expensive indoor/hydro etc. So if its got nothing to do with the grow, what makes the indoors etc so much better than the cheaper grades? Maybe the terminology is just incorrect and it has to do with how theyre generally looked after/grown? Sorry if this sounds really stupid

Fully agree.

The only difference between my greenhouse and outdoors is dust etc. that can stick to your sticky buds.

The guys that you get indoor from take care when growing, feeding, curing etc their plants where as the outdoor grows dont really get nutrients, its harvested and packed and not really cured etc but if you take care of your outdoor weed when growing it should be the same, if not better, than indoor weed.

I have smoked some outdoor bud of 2 people on this forum and both are a million miles better than the outdoor you buy online, because they grew and cured the plants the same way the indoor growers do .

Taking that into account, is it worth paying R150+ a gram for indoor? If that's the case outdoor should sell for the same as indoor.

I also thought indoor was stronger due to the growing conditions but its not actually so.

Can anybody vouch for Intherb? Ordered some for my brother yesterday and paid. They dont seem to talk very much at all?

It's quite ok , Very Quite and almost no feedback , got switched between deliveries but eventually got it , Herb was Sub-Par but could just be the batch I got

The most significant difference with indoor is the ability to control the environment. Weed thrives when given exactly what it needs, right temp, right humidity, right nutrients, less exposure to bugs and dust / dirt. So the end product usually looks and smells incredible and if cured correctly should smoke smooth.

That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with outdoor, it just comes down to the grower. If you going to pop a bean in the group and expect it to do everything on its own and still produce good bud, you got another thing coming. In fact growing good weed outdoors is challenging. The amount of times I have got spider mites, its dreadful. You need to pay careful attention to growing else things go wrong quick.

What did you use for spider mites? It seems I might have a couple. Some leaves have a white residue on them but I cant see any spider mites.

If it looks like a snail trail its thrips
No trails, just the white marks on the leaves

Looks like White powder mold. Its an absolute B1tch to get rid of. There are quite a few things you can spray it with. Milk, peroxide, sodium bicarbonate or apple cider vinegar. normally 1 part to 8 parts water. Spray every other day. I have tried them all. The thing is you have to continue to spray even if it seems that it has gone away.

Yeah I was also thinking WPM. Will hit it with some milk tonight.

Does it matter though, it's so minor? They will flower soon and you'll discard the leaves anyway. If it looked like this then by all means:

Looks great. How tall are those plants? Hard to tell from the pic. Banana for scale? :p
I think it's an auto as it flowered as soon as it got to this height, about 1.5m incl pot. Not complaining, scoring a 2-3 months wait. Note I don't pull the weeds as I don't want to hurt the roots.

Will probably fill 2-3 console jars. Guessing about 250g.

Yeah my first grow so not really sure when its actually to much and whether I can leave it as is.

But I will still try the milk spray as I had some mould on the cbd I harvested in December and I had to chuck it.
