The Cannabis Thread

Hate to just jump into a thread like this, but with all this talk of CannaPax and the like, from what I've seen of their product, it's nasty looking stuff that appears to not be what it purports to be, and even looks like it could be a bit mouldy. Which, suffice to say, isn't what I'd like to be combusting and inhaling into my lungs.

Maybe it's just a limited showing of what they have to offer, in which case I'm sorry (but relieved) to be wrong. If it's not, people are getting ripped off big time.

I wish this industry could become more legitimised and better regulated so that buyers and sellers are assured of good, quality-controlled product that maximizes benefits and minimizes harms. Sadly this will not come to pass in any of our lifetimes, the way things have been going w.r.t drug policy in RSA.

On behalf of MCDSA and the Icharos brand, please take note of the following:

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the lack of communication and the shutting down of our websites and emails over the last few weeks. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have been forced to maintain a low profile and this has necessitated the lack of contact we have had with our valued clients. While some of our clients are aware of the situation, many have been left in the dark, and for this, we again apologise. Please be assured that we have worked around the clock to rectify this situation and that we have stopped at nothing to ensure that our clients will once again have access to the highest quality products in no time. We will keep you, our valued client, updated on our progress and promise to deliver the best quality products that you have become accustomed to, soon.

We should be able to fulfil all orders outstanding unless you would prefer a refund in the interim. Thank for your support and being so patient.

Having to avoid the unwanted attention while we work around the clock to set up again, has been nothing short of taxing - as we pride ourselves in our exceptional quality, the sophisticated equipment we use in the manufacturing process and the sterile conditions under which we manufacture, reestablishing has not been able to happen overnight.

MCDSA will be "switching on" today and throughout this week, with our FB pages and websites going back up in due course.

For those who have sent messages of encouragement and support, we thank you sincerely and assure you that you will be getting the same quality and impeccable service that you have become accustomed to over the past few years. We will stop at nothing to be able to help those who need it the most, and will continue to do so indefinitely!

While the folks at MCDSA are still working through their backlog of mails and messages, please feel free to email me in the interim at [email protected] so that you can be kept in the loop every step of the way!

I think people need to be reminded that cannabis (THC) is still an illegal drug in this country.
CBD has been gazetted as S4.
THC intended to be gazetted as S6 (but has not been done yet). It is still listed in the Drugs and Drugs Trafficking Act as an "undesireable and dependence producing substance" - their words, not mine.

Therefore, it is still a criminal offence to be in possession of it without a legal script issued by a medical doctor (i.e. me). Same as having a stash of methadone, suboxone, morphine, concerta, phentermine, pseudoephedrine, fentanyl and so on at home for "medical reasons". They don't care what your medical condition is and how innocuous the treatment is. No valid script = illegal. Because there are no registered products with MCC / SAPRA, any and all THC containing products will be viewed as such.

No licenses have been issued. It is the same situation at the "Marijuana Tax Stamp" from the early 20th century in the USA. Yes, they have licences. But the DEA just didn't issue any. Expect more of the same here. I speak under correction but have heard all sorts of stories, but no one has been able to actually show me a license, in black-and-white, on government letterhead. Everyone person so far who has claimed to have one has been unable to prove it.

The SAPS go after the low hanging fruit. The people who post to a public forum and use their mobile phones for communication. Innocent people, really, but where ever was their justice in the criminal justice system?

The Hortishop in Cape Town were allegedly informing and have previously rolled on some close confidants with resulting damage to their personal and professional lives. So the question is how much do you trust the people selling these products to keep your information private, safe and secure? Or is their OPSEC designed to protect them, with you being compromised? What happens to their orders, customer list, addresses, telephone numbers etc... when the server is confiscated and database compromised? One should always plan for the worst-case scenario. I couldn't imagine Russell from CannaPax gives an iota of care to those purchasing his shitty dope.

I have always maintained that the biggest risk posed to a person using any illicit substance (cannabis, cocaine, heroin or otherwise) is the risk of being arrested, detained, charged and prosecuted. Far greater risk than the drug itself.

So please, people, be very very very careful.

If you do not think this forum is being watched, or the other forums on 420sa.co.za, then you are sorely mistaken. Our police's performance is measured by KPIs = number of arrests, not what happens to the arrested. It's easier to pluck the low-hanging cannabis user than prosecute Mark Lifman. The police's job is being made very easy by sharing such information in the public domain. I hope people wouldn't advertise other drugs so brazenly, but that is essentially what is being done.

You cannot sell a Schedule 6 drug in this way.
It is irresponsibly dangerous for many reasons, outlined above.

Please, all, be careful.
You want proper medical advice, get in touch with me here via PM and we can take it from there.

EDIT: This isn't a solicitation for my services. I can't charge you for advice. And I never would. I have offered my advice on this forum with regards to depression, psilocybin, ketamine, LSD and cannabis. Because I am an expert in this area - personally and professionally. This was a genuine offer to help those who may be confused with all of this brouhaha and misinformation that is seen microcosmically in this thread. The way in which people misinterpret and misunderstand this is concerning because clearly people have misinterpreted and misunderstood the ConCourt ruling.

I certainly don't want medical advice about what god given plants I can grow & consume. If you want to advertise your medical services please setup a company account.

I will gladly use their services if they're loose with the script pad.

Lots of warnings and then you sell a service. You pretty much lost credibility there.

The CONSTITUTIONAL COURT said it's legal and that parliament must update the laws. That is good enough for me.

I'll keep buying online and at dispensaries until my new crop is ready next year.

Me too. Medical professionals and anybody else who thinks they can interfere with my constitutional rights can go smoke newspapers with the popo. We will never give up this fight until we have fields of green for ALL.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of lawyers specializing in cannabis field , I need to get a consult on a business concept

Who the hell would need medical advise about a plant?? Take plant, smoke plant, eat plant, drink plant or however you want to try plant, see if plant works, if yes yay if no then increase amount of plant taken. Advise done.

All these "experts" coming out of the wood work. This plant has been doing fine for thousands of years on its own, now all of a sudden we need experts. Lord save us.

Wow, people have missed the boat completely. And sadly. Think with your head, not with your hearts.

This wasn't an offer to advertise my services and the advice I was prepared to offer (and still am prepared to offer) comes with no price.

I am a qualified expert, not trumpeting, but obviously there are others here that are also experts.

However, those experts would do well to then answer these questions:
If cannabis is legal, why are people being arrested left, right and centre for possession, use and distribution?
If cannabis is legal, why is it not gazetted as such? Why is it still listed on the D&DTA as an illegal drug?

To state that cannabis is LEGAL is so completely wrong. It remains VERY ILLEGAL but your use of it as an adult in the privacy of your own home is protected under your constitutional right to privacy i.e. a huge loophole. The initial loophole of religious expression was declined, hence the need for another loophole.

The only sustainable way forward is for it to be completely legalised. Unless the vociferous here have got access to some other documents the rest of us do not. To make it clear, I believe in legalization of ALL drugs (not decriminalisation, and this is based on proper science and MCDA), not just cannabis.

People would do well to heed my words.
Rather err on the side of caution.
Be very careful of who you share your personal and private details with, especially when they get arrested and their order books confiscated.

A word of caution remains - be careful. Honest and heartfelt advice.

Interpreted in utterly the wrong way, but an emotive topic like this, not surprising.
