The Craft Beer Thread

Did the whole brew in 6 hours. Using steam with a paraffin fueled boiler.

Wow - that's not as bad as I expected.

A batch of homebrew can take me that long, if I drink enough during the process ;)

Yeah, the brewery is really automated, so mashing in, transfers, cooling etc are all super quick.

*edit* fermentation is going mad already. Might be due to the 25kg of treacle sugar!

Any chance of posting some pics of the brewery?

This batch wasn't done at my brewery. I'm leasing my brewery equipment out to a brewpub out in Boskruin, so we brewed Harambeer elsewhere. They don't really want to be associated with this beer though, as the whole dead gorilla thing is a bit too risque for them.

Ooooh this is nice. If you like a bit of barrel aging this will hit the spot.

Yum!
Thanks for the heads up about this.
Yo the charred broccoli goes so well with beer.

Just brewed 1000l a black imperial IPA yesterday! 13kg of hops went into that bad boy. Stay tuned for Harambeer (in memoriam of Harambe, the protector) coming out end-Oct.

And it tastes amazing

Thanks for the preview. Looking forward to the final product.

Nice meeting you and thanks for the special deal (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

Chocolate Stout....... Nice and smokey

Had the Amber Ale last night. Unfortunately it was off. Wish liquor stores would learn to take proper care of craft if they want to sell it.

Are you referring to the sediment in the bottle? The Blonde Ale had quit a bit of that. Going to have the Amber one now, got too p*ssed last night and decided to save it as I would not appreciate it back then.

no it had a sour taste to it. Had a few sips and had to chuck the rest down the drain. Don't think it was the brew though. Had it before and tasted great then.
