I tried last man standing last night but eventually after I did most of the work running out of bullets and every 5 minutes some one leaves I gave up.
I will try tonight again.

Matchmaking in a safe-house for free-roaming. I have never managed to be party-leader - no idea why this does not work. Normally I then join some randoms and then go to BoO and activate the HVT mission and in most cases people will then teleport onto me.

I'm getting Dark Zone mismatch whole time last night even though I can join a group it still doesn't work.
Group GS is 200+ and mine is 187. Could it be that?

The DZ brackets for GS are [0-160], [161-200], [201+]
Your group would be in [201+] 'server' and you (at this point in time) can only access the [161-200] 'server'
It's definitely that, at about 195 GS it puts you in the 200+ bracket... Warning: 200+ is very difficult.

so thankful that PS4 has a month delay. By that time pugs on XB1/PC will have exploited everything and I will then be able to get a properly working DLC 
starting to be seriously done with this game. 3 nights in a row in the DZ I matchmake in DZ6 with randoms play for about an hour and at some stage I get kicked and murdered. No reason. Last night's group played so poorly that the other 3 continued to die next to the DZ6 entrance from flamethrowers. Then 3 went down at the extraction and I patiently waited for them to return and left all their loot untouched - yet 20 mins later I get ganked.

No, you don't need to.
I found it better to level a few levels in the DZ as you're levelling up. The DZ has its own XP, so just bare in mind that you won't level your character to 30 while you're in there.
Will leave it running while I'm probably being disappointed by Independence Day 2.
I am taking a well deserved break from the division until 1.3 lands on PS4
/offtopic, it was an incredibly jarring experience going back to an FPS from so much time spent playing over the shoulder of my character
