The Division

They were all on hard mode with a variety of directives up. Iirc I ran two with 1 directive up and the last one with 3 up. I'm lvl 22 so don't have access to 4 directives yet. All were single phase.

The board says that you only get weapons if you run with 2 directives up so didn't try that out.

The gear set items came from the "quest reward" saw only Highend's (gear and weaps) drop from the named NPC's and the final loot crate.

It's was all 214 gear, but I've had 240 gs items drop from hard mode underground, pre patch. That was firecrest only though.
I hit level 17 last night in underground and it gave me a 229 pistol that Base dps was 20k less than my 204 pistol.

Rewards on one run with 1 directive up was 182 firecrest

Did a lot of underground this weekend. Hard and Challenging with various amounts of directives up. It still seems heavily weighted towards Firecrest and Blind gear. I did pick up a few items from Reclaimer/Hunters Faith/Predator's Mark/Alpha bridge. I've yet to see any from Striker or Sentry drop, although people in group did mention picking these pieces but that was on two occasions only.

Weapons seems more random though.

Here's my humble tips for success in underground PUG's in Challenging and Heroic.

1) If you match make into a group who have the Mad Skills* directive up. Convince them to take it off or just drop group and retry. Chances of success with that directive on is slim to none if you're not in a highly geared and/or coordinated group.

2) Someone needs a maxed out Pulse (+40% crit chance & +100% crit dmg with near 100% uptime). You need about 42k Skill power to get this. You simply won't be able to bring down elites fast enough otherwise.

3) Smart Cover ( +60% dmg reduction & 40% dmg boost) I normally run the one with heals mod.

These are essential imo. Since I've changed my build to bring this to the party my success rate on runs has gone through the roof. If someone else is already running this then I just change to something else useful.

Other skills that help a lot, but is not essential would be someone with 4 piece reclaimer running special ammo. Flashbang sticky bomb to help deal with Shot gunners and I think there is a flame mod on seeker mine that helps a lot with crowd control as well.

Should have probably mention this first, but the one thing you don't need is heroes. Rushing in at these difficulty levels are just going to get you killed irrespective of what your toughness is.

Sit back and funnel NPC's into choke points firing from cover and burn them down. Once the Shot Gunners & AR guys are gone it's really easy to just pick of the rest.

*Mad Skills is the one were both your skills share a cooldown and signature skills cooldown is shared with in the group.

Is there anyone that is done with division PS4 and want to get rd of their disc, I might have a buyer if it is a decent offer.

Finally bought this game and just wanted to know if you guys have any good tips (things you wish you knew before you started). Would be greatly appreciated.

Don't be afraid to spend your credits by upgrading your gear for DPS and stamina.

Thanks for that, been saving those. Another question: Sell or dismantle stuff? Does crafting play a big part endgame?

No. I seldom use crafting at all. Don't see the point at all. I dismantle stuff purely to save on inventory space.

Dismantle 50% sell 50% for now.
You will get a few nice items to craft in the early stages.
In the later stages there is no need for either as you rely on drops as there is virtually nothing to craft anymore that will give you better gear or weapons.

The DZ has some nice drops and then obviously you can start to save later to re calibrate your gear and weapons.

Still want to come back when the new patch drops.
I'm still trying to get over the "burnout" feeling I have towards it right now though.

Youtuber Like Butter was playing on PTS, was impressed with the new changes. The PTS is only available on PC though.

Yip and us poor PS4 will only get anything new a month later when everybody else already have it.

I am getting a bit bored with the farming as mostly there is nothing worth while and secondly creating a nice group in the underground is useless as most level 191 guys want to go do Challenge mode and we all get killed in the first wave because no one uses pulse or support stations

I was also watching - trying hard to ignore the Oz accent - Skill Up :D
He covers the content I want to know/hear about. I'm overall happy with the direction 1.4 is taking, more so that the idea behind this is to make enemies less bullet-spongy and to have weapons behaving like weapons.

I'm interested to see what comes out of the "nerf" round to SMG's and Shotguns though. Hopefully the meta doesn't just swing to LMG's (M60) they way he was predicting due to the buff LMG's receive in general.

Really looking forward to the 1.4 patch. Might even get me playing again. Wondering if it is worth downloading the PTS.

Is anyone on the thread playing the PTS
