On a slightly different note, was really hoping for more fleshed out details regarding 1.2 in teh SotG today.

I'm holding off the hype for now but any improvements to the loot system are a good thing
It's some M1A HE with +150% headshot damage - has a fairly good roll and I think it was 30K base damage - far superior to the Tenebrae (sp?) I used before. The sniper and the Aug melt throw enemies in DZ6. Despite my 82K health and 16K electronics I was one-shot recked in the DZ by a DZ-level99 guy. No idea how this was possible, but I generally find that I take enormous damage against real players in DZ (compared to Level32 NPC).
Take a look at the Custom M44 Blueprint (BoO pxc vendor) if you do want a hard hitting sniper
The only key talent you're after is Brutal (headshot damage)... Balanced is nice, but it'll get toned down in 1.2 to only affect the first shot instead of all the shots currently
In light of how DZ agents melt you, what is your armor mitigation sitting on? Bare in mind that players can frequently OHK you if they get a crit head shot
