The Division

Who is using their stash crate to put some unwanted items in there?

I have added one of my rifles in their for the fear it might be needed again.

But so far I dont use that storage at all for anything.

I have all my "spare" set items in case I feel like changing at some point. And all the spray paint colours.......... :\

Sentry's is changing, that the changes make sense and will make the set work more how they meant it too. Its being balanced.

Sentry is totally OP - everyone thinks it's an additive buff (1.15+1.15+1.15 = 1.45) whereas it's actually multiplicative (1.15*1.15*1.15 = 1.52)

Striker really needs to be fixed since it's terribly unsustainable to maintain stacks

Nomads is more and more useless every time I look at it

Even before that I tried to get to a 3/3 sentry/striker - just don't seem to get any good stats on anything I ever get. By the time I get to DZ75 (currently DZ72), the new target will be DZ100. Flicked over to Destiny last night and find that Division is less boring, but I think eventually the whole daily challenge/weekly challenge will become as mundane as Destiny's weekly nightfall/raids. The only advantage Division has over Destiny is that you can craft/purchase your gear.

I suppose players who dislike PVP would have given up on Division by now (there is really nothing to do if you think about it). Yesterday we flew through Lexington in less than 15 minutes (all GS180-190, but I could hear the distinct AUG noise). I still wish they would fix the shotgun damage being dealt and the balance in DZ.

If the Sentry 4 piece is nerfed, 3 striker/3 sentry will be BiS

Dailies/weeklies have already become mundane for me...

Nail on the head.

All I can do now is help other people :o

My team and I were working through FL CM last week, one of the guys couldn't make it online last week Thursday and our group has pretty much stalled as a result

Falcon Lost CM is a waste of time for me. I play at such erratic times that I rely on getting a semi-decent group of randoms together and this works mostly well in FL HM and does not really matter in regular challenge missions as I could solo them any way.

FL CM is to me like Destiny TTK on HM an endless sweatfest without much reward (at least with TTK or any other Destiny raid there are good game mechanics, although I hated the jumping bit). I am a casual player and I have a few hours here and there and play to unwind - so I don't want screaming kids/wifes on microphones or smart**** who get upset if you don't play a specific way.

The Darkzone would be a lot more rewarding if you could pick up your extraction via a stash in a safe-house without disrupting the game - then at least I could drop all the garbage items less than GS182 (pretty much everything) to other players in need.

I have yet to get a teal or anything decent from a DZ drop-zone event. I did get a teal striker GS191 the other day from the boss at the entrance to DZ6 - found that strange as I thought only Nomad gear-set would drop.

So it seems 'more' info on 1.2 has been disclosed in the SotG today.

The change to Sentry's will just make me use a shotgun now :p
What I'm hoping for is that the other sets they mention boost shotty's/AR's/Pistols/LMG's a lot.

I hope what they refer to as weapon balancing will include putting perks on the weapon types above and not leave it to a set to try and balance.

Ok quick two questions,

Regarding primary and secondary weapons.

1. How important is DPS on the weapon,
I have a AK that has 11.9k base damage, with mods it grows to 155k DPS, then I have a Police MK16 that has 9.6k base damage but with about 199k DPS.
Between the two what would be the better option?

2. Why would the guns in the inventory state 202k DPS but the minute you equip it it move over to 185DPS?
Is it because it does not calculate the DPS with all your gear and mods yet since when you equip it then it only takes all your equipment in consideration

I found the whole DPS calculation completely wrong. I have now resulted to go to the shooting range and then test the actual damage there. I found that if I equip certain mods on the weapon it raises DPS and stacks with the next mod. Sometimes my AUG will show 255K DPS (the correct value) and if I switch magazine/scope back/forth DPS gets stuck at 201K.

I had a mod on the AUG which gave a 270K DPS, but when testing it on the shooting range dummy the per-shot damage was less (38K per hit vs 46K) than the other mod. I don't trust DPS one bit. Same with gear-score - a complete fabricated/useless number - my 163GS gloves give better post to overall damage than my 214 roll.

I will go the range and see what the results is.

So in your opinion do I stick rather with the base damage or is it still a bit of both.
In your opinion will you stick with the AK with 11.9K base damage or go back to the Mk16 with the base damage a bit lower but the DPS is much higher?

Remember that the total DPS is calculated on the number of bullets you are capable of hitting. Since I really suck at aiming well, I personally focus on higher base damage than overall DPS. I don't think you will often be able to get full-sustained fire (unless someone rushes straight at you which is almost everyone in PVE).

As an example: I am running an Aug which has 250K DPS. My base-damage is 11.2K. With the various weapon/gear mods, a body shot nets 44K per bullet and a headshot nets 80K per bullet. Now add some talents like One is None (50% chance a headshot does not use a bullet -so in essence more bullets in the mag) and increase critical hit-chance/damage with mods. Throw pulse into the mix and my headshot from the Aug will go from 80K to about 120K.

To add to that, I'd also say possibly remember how Accuracy affects those numbers. Higher accuracy is generally taken as more hits on target and thus artificially skews the DPS number quite horribly.

And stability - you can see this in the shooting range. I prefer the Aug as it has literally no kick-back. Before that I used an AK which bounced all over the place.

I have a very good (relatively for my level) ACP45 that does about 180k dps and 11.2k base damage.
So I had that equipped with my AUG that is just a bit lower that the ACP but its both subs so the bullets tend to run out quickly.
In that case I am running with a AK that still kicks like a mule on fire as primary and the acp on secondary.

But I am thinking of swapping my Ak out to my custom M44 that does a bit of damage, but its just the ammo capacity on the rifle that is an issue at this stage.

My Aug has extended mag (49 bullets) and I carry 750. I then run a marks-man (12 mag with 112 bullets). I found that in the DZ I can circle through 2-3 named bosses just on the Aug and I only hit a safe-house if I hit about 100 bullets. In hard/CM missions I do not run out of primary ammo between refill points (except Lincoln Tunnel due to skipping the first wave of enemies and then taking out all of them one go - there I often have to fall back to my pistol).

1.2 Update is live on steam, just started the 3.2gb download.

I was wondering how big the update was.
Should maybe schedule it from the app and see if it would download :)

I had the worst lag this past three days.
Dont know if they pushed me in another country or what, but it takes about ten minutes before I am fully up and running and then still have some instances that nothing register.

Hope the patch will fix it.

On the bright side, at least I found a 10.9k Aug this weekend, that is not to bad.

The Update notes seem to be decent upgrades from the game, so the real question is just to wait and see if it is going to work.

They should really fix that PcX limit of 1k. I bought all sorts of useless crap which I will never use. Since yesterday I am back at 1K and nothing to use it for. I wish they could at least allow us to buy matts or allow us to re-roll stats.

I also found that the whole DPS calculation is wrong on so many levels. My M1A had 160K DPS and after I found that a headshot would do only 60K, I re-geared and the M1A has now 120K DPS, but headshot is 90K. A true joke (not sure if this is only on PS4). Another issue I found over the weekend is that if I mod my secondary or any gear where I have +firearms/+crit etc, my primary DPS drops in display until I re-equip.

Had to download a free xmas-theme via the PS4 store from the office to trigger an update on the PS4 - sometimes those auto-updates just don't seem to work properly.
