The DNS services with the best latency

1.1.1.1 is awesome. Been using it since it launched. It's so good I feel like ISPs should make it the default one.

Im still using OpenDNS with its extra functionality. Doubt Im going to notice a few ms difference.

I did read cloudflares post on 1.1.1.1 a while back and its quite the achievement to get that working.

I posted already about poor routing to the Cloudflare DNS server from Telkom cellular connection. Something is still wrong at Telkom:
Code:
C:\>tracert 8.8.8.8

From Joburg 20ms ping to Google (8 hops) and 50ms to Cloudflare (13hops). Server 196.43.8.45 is responsible for extra 30ms delay, slightly better now, but problem is the same at one hop. Cloudlfare has also DNS server in Joburg, but my packets are landing in Capetown.

Where is Quad9 (9.9.9.9)?

I agree, 1.1.1.1 is the fastest, but I like the extra security provided by Quad9.

Can I just plug 1.1.1.1 into my router or like 8.8.8.8?
