The best airmouse, as a pure remote, is this one from GeekBuying.

It was about R120 for 2... (+/- R50 each)

I bought 2 on 17/01/2017 and I have not had to replace the batteries yet! It works (for me) up to 15m and is plug-n-play.

Just a quick update on this remote. I am still using the original batteries, I am still using the first one I bought and the second one is still in it's protective casing waiting for when one of my toddlers finally chew through the first, and I see it is still for sale at Geekbuying for R70 ($5.69 as of this writing)...

ps - I hope this is not seen as spam, but constructive information...

how long did it take to deliver? I'm keen on ordering one... is it a proper air mouse? (Cursor moves with remote movement, or only via button?)

Delivery - I can't remember, but if I remember it took like 30 days or something (HAHAHA)

this is a full AIRMOUSE, but the cursor moves like a mouse with a couple of buttons...

Do all miboxes suffer with poor wifi signal
Coming from a Apple TV, the signal is really poor. I've had to add a repeater for the Mibox
All my devices have worked flawlessly until now

Oh ok. It looks very similar to the Telkom lit remote , which I'm happy with, so want to get another for my other room seeing as I don't know where to get another Telkom lit remote

Not the best Wi-Fi receiving unit...

My router is about 5 meters away.. flawless stream in 1080

Hey Guys. I know this has probably been asked a few times ( apologies this thread is rather large). What would be the best android box to get? The shield is priced out for me, looking at around 2.5k to spend. I currently have an MXQ Pro 4K but its starting to get laggy and want to move onto something more new.

Any advice appreciated. Will be travelling to India in a week or so and saw this available ( ignore the price , I have a man on the ground for cheaper):

Just add extra R300 and buy the Shield at the current exchange rate.

Okay assuming this is with Amazon? any idea on the shipping cost and time it takes to deliver?
Also would there be any duties or tax once landed? Since I will be travelling I thought I would get a box when there :) But the Shield is more expensive in India.

Zidoo X9S going for about R1400-R1600 delivered. Air mouse recommended. That leaves about R1k to get a good nice SATA drive to plug into it.

I would save my money and get either the Mi box or the Lit box.

I got one of these as a beta-tester and but for the fact that I can not run DSTV Now, this is one kick-ass box! Fast, runs anything you chuck at it and beautifully built in it's brushed-aircraft-aluminum skin!

Lit box, Mi box or Nvidia shield.. rather go that route as you google certified with widevine level1 support and all your main streaming apps are supports except for netflix on lit box, thats pending certification from netflix

Fed up with my NT-N8, always had an issue with a few of my movies, most annoyingly Force Awakens and Dunkirk, Grand Tour also comes with DD+ sound which it doesn't like.

Started skipping on The Hobbit last night and a few other movies the last week, I suspect thermal throttling to be the latest issue.

Over it, bought a Shield.
