The Droid TV thread

Any tips for a more sharper images on the mibox , coming from a Apple TV im not to impressed.
In also using terrarium tv, picture quality sucks.

I have never seen this complaint before. You either have a dud of a box or your source material sucks...
Your Apple TV didn't support Terrarium yes? Which means that you are most likely used to high quality Apple video content. Don't expect the same from Terrarium. Most of the stuff is low bitrate.

Hi.

Change player. Vlc has the best pic quality imo

Also bear in mind you are streaming from from a non paid site compared to Apple..

Stream Netflix or YouTube of mi box and you get proper pic.
 
Forgive my ignorance. Can vlc stream from a pc to an android box same as what kodi/plex does?
 
The Apple TV supports Kodi, but I have both the ATV 4 and the Lit box The pic quality looks similar. I think the Lit might be a bit better, but that could be because of the my Plasma TV.
 
Im probably going to get the Shield but anyone have any experience using one of these H96 Max devices.

H96 is good device but lets you down on software side. the device is rooted.. so no proper support for netflix, dstv now etc..

rather go with Shield

Eish, I bought the Lit this week, else I would have taken it.

I don't know why you're sticking with the ATV. It struggles to play Hvec.
 
I got an amazon fire stick from takealot and have to say I am very impressed with it. The interface is better than my shields interface (side note, you need prime to get the full effect), but paid under a R1000 for it and it works like a charm . And of course official Netflix which is a bonus
