Were you planning on buying a new home router anytime soon?
If not, the only other thing we can try is swapping the unit
I'll send one up on Monday if you can't find a solution this weekend
Guys... i dont know anyone who i can borrow the router from so i am going to go ahead and buy one to rule out router issues.
so which one do you suggest?
d-link Wireless AC750
or
TP-Link N600
To be frank, I am not looking to buy a new router unless i am forced to. That's the reason i have posted asking which one is better. But I'd rather not spend the money unless i have to.
I feel bad about swapping the unit because knowing my luck, it will work fine when at your end.![]()
@iru786: Are you anywhere near a Telkom shop - tell them you are having a few issues with your line and see if they are willing to lend you a router. Can you not borrow a smart phone or a MiFi just to check before you take the plunge?
I must say that I have been struggling with some services on my DroidTV today and I think it's either ISP or exchange related. Hopefully things will improve tonight. In general does your line perform well? Which ISP are you using?
+1
This Rom is Great Sorted my Wifi issues 6mbps to 33-36mbps!!!
Just tested and min frequency changed and high ethernet speeds are back
@Avsupply How is the Q7 4.4 firmware comming along?
@iru786
Install a CPU speed adjuster and see what speed your CPU is running at.
Something like..

I noticed two comments here that are interesting:

Matricom 1.2 is being released tonight at 6pm (Friday, August 1st) according to their forums.
Apparently they are also releasing a brand new feature or something which they are very secretive about. I'm intrigued.
@AVSupply Is the Matricom firmware compatible with our MX2 devices out of the box or do they need to be tweaked?
I just need to figure out if there is a way to access the box via my network from my pc to transfer files to it.
Install SSH Server via Android Play Store. It's free.
Run that.
Add a SSH server.
Config so it just runs when app is launched, not all the time.
Add a user. Use whatever, but must use name and password. No blanks.
Start the SSH server.
On computer:
If Windows, download WinSCP.
If Mac, download Cyberduck.
Create SFTP connection using IP of Android.
Use credentials from above.
Use port from what's listed in running Android SSH server.
Connect, and it should give you a side by side file browser that you can use to copy to/from.
Thanks... i will give this a try as well
@ Avsupply ... The IP range starts from 192.168.1.100
@ Yotch... Did both tests. the max speed i am able to achieve is 1mbps with a few second burst of 2mbps... The average speed is 0.5mbps. The details are gathered from es file explorer.
Edit: Installed netspeed overlay and did transfer of quite a few large files (800MB +) via ftp. The max speed i was able to achieve was 2.8Mbps and average of 800kbps
I also did a test with Mifi today. Running a speed test on mobile phone with mobile data, the download speed i get is 1.7Mbps and upload is 1.2 Mbps. Than i started AP on the phone and connected M8 to that AP. Did test on M8 using the same software and download speed i get on M8 is 0.02 Mbps while upload is 0.01 Mbps.
Now i really don't know what else i can try![]()
