The Droid TV thread

Well for us tv use ustvnow for live and ustv vod for catchup, icefilms movie25, navi-x

Problem solved

Right, so I have played and I love it!
I found that using a keyboard and mouse on the initial setup really helped a lot, for ease of use and speed.

Had a bit of an issue with the display until I found the resize option, and voila, sorted.

Some questions:
Any way that pressing home can go straight to Nova?
How do you use the remote for Netflix? I could scroll but couldn't seem to click and select.

Are you using the standard IR remote? Most of us are using the customised Mbox launcher - when you press the home key on the remote you should jump to the home screen with Videos, Recommended, Settings tiles etc. You may need to use a mouse for the apps that are designed for touch screen cell phones.

You need an air mouse and keyboard combo.

I have a Mele F10 but this also nice and budget friendly and betters the whole experience.

@d4zza: Try using a wired/wireless mouse if you don't have an air mouse. Hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse to drag the menus left/right/up/down.

@JvanD: I have been trying for the last few minutes! I can get the cursor to move in mouse mode but I can't pull any of the Netflix menus left or right etc. You can move the menus up and down. If you can get it to work let me know. I have had more luck with the IR remote in Hulu Plus.

There is a version of Netlfix that support the IR remotes. Up, down, left, right, back, and enter. It's an older build but the forum is down for maintenance that provides the correct build version, but will have a look

OK I didn't think of that. Many of the older Netflix versions do still work on these boxes.

Hmmm.... That's a bit of a let down as the whole purpose of the box was Netflix... I am sure there is a way around it, but at the moment, a R350 isn't an option.

Going to try using an android phone + bluetooth as a remote.

Try Googling for Netflix Apk version 2.4.1 and download it to a SD card or USB thumb drive, you can then uninstall it and install 2.4.1 and see if it works. It should if memory serves me correct that's the one I had on one of my Android boxes with IR stock remote. Lemme know how it goes and if you need help.

Cool thanks may try that just now.

I have an old Android phone and a Fong Kong S4 that I want to try this on:

You can change the default launcher under the android settings. Just clear the defaults.

@d4zza: I have a number of versions of Netflix 2.4.1 which I am busy testing right now ... will let you know shortly.

@d4zza, I highly recommend the T2 air mouse (R250). It doesn't have a keyboard, but it is very rare that you need to enter text, and it is not bad using the on screen keyboard. It makes navigating very easy, and not just for Netflix.
