The Droid TV thread

Tried a new hdmi cable now. Problem persists.

Hi jdzah,

Please can you do the following

- Power everything off
- Turn TV back on and wait for the "No signal" notification
- Make sure the HDMI cable is properly seated in the MXQ's port
- Power on MXQ

If you still see flicker, go to "Settings > Display" and adjust the screen output using the up and down keys on the remote. Make sure the Android settings page fits your screen perfectly

Let me know if it's any better?

Thanks

Does it give you a build number?

Original stock firmware
Android version: KitKat 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.10.33
Build number: 107k4

New stock firmware
Android version: KitKat 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.10.33
Build number: 108k4

Which build do you have, check above.

Took a bit longer to get going, but problem persists.

I take it there's still no solution for using the Mele F10 headphone jack with the Droid? Specifically the mx3 1gb version?

I sent a PM to another member that had the same issue on his MXQ.
He resolved it with firmware, will find out and keep you posted.
Hang in there we look after our own here

@AVSupply, would a reset perhaps work if jdzah is willing to try?

Jaque still having freezes and getting no response from the remote. Wife was using it fine for most of the day, but now it was responding again. Is there an eject hard drive option, or is it okay to pull a drive in and out without powering off the box?

Been escalated to the factory last time I heard.

Just pull the drive out

Were both drives connected when the MXQ froze?

If any of the MXQ owners want to change the graphics hardware settings, you can go Settings > Other > More Settings > About MediaBox > Build Number - Click 7 times on the Build Number and this should unlock the Developer Options. Go back to the More Settings page and open the new Developer Options menu above About MediaBox .You can try to change the Hardware Accelerated Rendering Settings to see if this helps with either the random black screens or Netflix. Just keep a note of the original settings so that you can replace them.
