The Droid TV thread

What's wrong guys. I'm having no issues. Well apart from when I switch on, and ES file explorer keeps popping up 1st lol

I think we all have different needs for the box and for some it's not a problem but for others it is. The biggest thing for me right now is the lack of "no root" firmware. That's why barring Sky Go the fire tv actually seems to tick more boxes.

Any reason you want Sky Go? Sky Go is the equivalent to the drifta, yes?

I came to the same conclusion, I am ditching the idea of giving it to my parents, will rather get them a Roku in January. Won't recommend it to anybody "non-technical". Will keep this one for myself as something to fiddle with.
 
Tv launcher is pretty good if you want simplicity ...
 
If the box was rooted with SuperSU, then go to the SuperSU app, go to the settings, scroll down and tap on the Full Unroot button.

Or if that wasnt rooted with SuperSU then download an app called Universal Unroot

Or just Use ODIN

SuperSu doesn't show up as an app?
 
1) Is there a way to make the XBMC icon bigger?
2) Is there a way to make your media keep scrolling in XBMC with the remote? Mine stops after 3, even if you hold in the left/right button.

I'm getting some freezing while operating XBMC, is this normal? (It is busy scanning files though
 
I also got the freezing in xbmc. I do get a strange buffering issue when playing movies off the hard drive.
