From us? How strange

This is the standard remote that ships with the box

I'll check our other boxes now and see if they all have that remote

Yip from you, it's the newer 2015 version 582 with bluetooth

Looks like that's the new remote :) Pretty cool that they including a wireless qwerty remote as standard

If no one can help you with an older remote, I'll send you mine

Haha sorry to burst your bubble but it's fairly crap, nearly unusable in fact...

I'll gladly swap for the old remote actually

Jvan is always rocking the latest firmware version, which might have enabled the DSTV app to work on his MyGica player

Rockin? More like "dominating" lol.

SL1sv3R/AVSupply

Between firmware updates I have noticed that the DSTV now registration works fine but functionality is lost at after a few days. When firmware is upgraded or downgraded and registration is completed the same behaviour is exhibited. Works fine for awhile then zip ... gone - I jump between kernel, stock and fw updates and pretty fast as soon as the devs release it. I have newer than what is released to the general public.

GMS has been implemented afaik, in February already, you'll see that the majority your apps now on the new SDK.Netflix and a few others can now be linked to auto login on your Google credentials. No need for you to provide the user name & password anymore ... I like it.

Is it DRM or Widevine that needs to be implemented or a generic device ID at play? I don't know, but what I do know is that sometimes the development on firmware releases currently tries to keep your configuration which poses a problem with Google Play and with the registration of the device.

I have a patch that potentially can fix the device ID and tie it to your serial number on the box - I'll give it a bash when I have free time and will report back.

Thanks JvanD for the feedback, please keep us posted!

AVsupply how is the droid player you have in stock compared to the MX2?

They perform the same functions as your MX2, just a lot faster.

Are you still on the Ember firmware?

That's a pity. I would think that wireless would be much better than the IR one

I'll post mine to you. Please mail me at [email protected]

You have mail!

I can't compare it to the IR one but it's just unresponsive a lot of the time and you tend to hit multiple direction arrows with one press which is annoying. I *think* it's because it transmits at 2.4ghz with shoddy transmitters/receivers in the remote and the wifi is messing with it. Taking the battery out the remote and replacing it sorts the issue for a little bit.

Credit where credit is due, AVSupply are couriering me the older IR remote free of charge... There is customer service and there's this, utterly utterly fantastic.

To anyone reading this do not hesitate to order from this fantastic company, I shall be using them for anything and everything they stock and shouting their name from the rooftops to anyone who will hear me.

I agree with your statement, I use them for all my needs and wants. Also if you are in trouble with AV equipment Jacque and Tracy always come through and helps with the life cycle management and support for products ... even if it's not their own ... give you an example here:

I once bought a media box from China a few months ago and mucked it up real bad. AVSupply helped me to restore it to its former glory. I didn't even buy it from them ... WTF!!! I don't see anyone else offering such dedication and support towards any purchase I have ever made ... ever! And I didn't even buy it from them - felt rather guiltily that I didn't but I didn't know any better at the time

I'm not arsed about buying from another retailer anymore because I know I'm covered by their expertise and dedication - won't be importing again.
AVSupply 4 Life - period

I am using an air mouse that I bought from AVsupply but if I switch my mx2 off and back on the audio does not work and I have to remove the USB reboot and once it booted uo it works again. So I want to know is there a way of maybe deleting the "text" or something to force audio out over hdmi?

Is this on Ember or Android and which air remote are you using?

Its on ember and its the MX3 gyroscopic mouse remote

What i have noticed with my MX3 remote is that some of the batteries that you can buy, are not the same size and is not a good fit on the remote and causes issues. About the no sound option I wonder if the Ember forums can perhaps help on this?
I know you get a codesnake version but I dont know if its better than Ember and if it can work.

Does anyone else have any knowledge if CodeSnake's version is better than Ember and do not suffer from the issue reported by Hazelbag?

I did speak to Josh on XDA forum and he is also unsure about the audio setting, he said he will have a look at it and let me know

Hey All, i'm thinking of getting one of the MG582 from AvSupply.
What i need to confirm first is, will the DSTV Now app work or not? If not, can anyone confirm if it will work on the MXIII?
