Also how can I release some memory and space on the MXQ? I'm running seriously low on both, and already uninstalled and disabled so many apps I don't usePreparing for 1st run in Kodi and Spmc is working on my bloody nerves now, everytime I start up Kodi/SPMC. Then it just crashes etc. I've tried Helix, Gotham and Isengard and the same. It's seriously frustrating
I have Ember 1.0.0 installed, I'm trying to revert back to Android so trying the revert using this link - http://ember-dev.com/downloads/download.php?hardware=G02REF
Verifying update package
Installation aborted.
Maybe i need to upgrade to the latest Ember then try downgrade to Android?
Edit: Updated Ember build to 2.0.2 and tried to revert to Android but seems it gets stuck verifying the package.
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "stvmx" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "stvmx"
The update script is failing because it can't find a valid device
If I remember correctly, you have a Mygica. Did you make sure to install Ember for your version box?
MyGica correct, the Ember install went through well without issues, even the update which i applied yesterday is working.
What happens if you try to update to the latest official Mygica firmware release?
Going back to Android or another OS?
If you wish to reinstall your original OS on your device, you must first install this image in order to rewrite your devices original MTD partitions.
Seems the auto resolution might not be playing nice actually, if I force it to 24hz there's no skipped frames so I don't think Kodi is changing the framerate when the box is set to auto-resolution under main settings.
Ya confirmed, seems Kodi is not auto-setting the framerate when you start a video
Anyone know how to get Kodi to auto-set resolution on video start to match source rate? I've set it to do this in Kodi settings and set the MG582(avsupply firmware) to auto-detect HDMI but it won't change automatically. Results in 100's of dropped frames.
TV does support 24HZ and if I force select this there's no dropped frames but the mouse movement becomes really slow.
I read something about MTB partitions?

ATV400 is my model
Maybe i should try the MyGica firmware from their forums?

Does the zip file you downloading, look like the one below? Note the EXTRACTME_STVMX prefix

Yip, thats the one I'm trying that gives that error.
I received my remote/mouse (MX3) yesterday and it's behaviour is "weird". I plugged it in and it started working immediately. So I powered down all my devices before load shedding and when the power was restored, the remote stopped working (no response from the MG582). Tried rebooting, pairing, changing the receiver ports: nothing happened. Any ideas where I went wrong? I'm still running the supplied fw/sw on the box.
Responded on the mbox forum
I experienced something similar with my MXIII. I set the date/time manually and it started working again.I've picked up a bizzare error on my MXQ. I can't seem to connect to the the net from within the andriod environment. No apps can connect to the web. GMAIL, YouTube, Play store etc. BUT, if I open up the browser, I can get to google etc. IF I go into XBMC, I can stream perfectly. Seems like GOOGLE services is just not working. It gives me a sync error. Nothing was changed.
Anyone experience this?
