The Droid TV thread

Is there a tv box which plays Netflix in 720p or 1080p? On some reviews I read that the Mygica ATV 582 /585 only plays Netflix in 480p. I also read that you can't play BBC iPlayer on these boxes as they do not support Flash?

I have the Mygica ATV 582 and my player plays BBC iPlayer no problem.

According to mygica support, these players are now google certified and this will allow netflix to play in hd. Have not tested this myself. I intend to sign up to netflix next month.

Is your card 3D secure? We can only process transactions if you have an online pin setup with your bank

Well, my Google Play music subscription completed successfully (as it does every month) and so did the card verification fee from Google- same goes for all my Takealot purchases, so I'm going with yes.

Question though, is the card separate from the account regarding 3D Secure?

I received the OTP for the transaction but afterwards nothing happened- no error message, no nothing, just a blank web page.

The online pin (3D Secure / Mastercard Verified) is an extra check we put in place to prevent fraud. The person buying needs to register their card for online payments. During the registration process, your bank will prompt you to create a pin, which you need to use when paying through a 3D secure portal. You also get to specify spending limit, etc

Historically, anyone with the actual credit card could place orders, as they would only need the long number on the front and the security pin on the back.

No, as far as I'm aware, it uses a one time pin - which was delivered to me in any case.

Even if what you say is true, why didn't the system return an error message or error code? All I got was a blank screen. And why is your site the only one I've been unable to make purchases with using my cc?

Not sure? So you saying you were directed to the payment page, were prompted for your OTP or online payment password, and then it went blank?

If you try again, would you mind emailing me a screenshot of the failure page? Please send it to [email protected]

It's the most popular payment method on our site, and we don't get many complaints

Sorry about the hassle

Devices must be Netflix certified to play Netflix in HD. They are trying to get certified, but it seems like it's not an easy process

That's exactly what happened. And I would have done the screenshot, but I already reverted to EFT (after multiple unsuccessful attempts) and mailed pop to the given address- order status is payment received so seems I'm sorted for now.

Jaque the remote i bought, keeps on losing connection :( i did send you a pm but didnt get a reply back.

Possible, but I don't see how- wouldn't they rather return an error code of sorts instead of supplying an OTP at all?

I suspect MyGate aren't managing the problem correctly

I'll send them a support email now. Thanks for reporting the issue
