OK, so as I understand it, you have to break into the DSTV NOW archive to side-load your device to run the APP.
Tell me more how DSTV NOW is not broken? Next time you watch Cricket using your DSTV NOW app and the score-line is cut off, remember all my previous writings.
And for those of you reading this, have a look at my comments on what Android Boxes actually works with which DSTV app. You can read all about it here:

it is actually disgusting how DSTV stops users from using any Android device, but limits it to a few handful devices. AND the moment they realize there is a working device, they break the code! (And I have this on authority!)
The long and the short, DSTV does not want you to add an Android device into your home entertainment experience. They want you to pay more money for more signal. I have been in meetings with the technical staff and the indication is, whilst DSTV makes money selling satellite streams, they will continue to post broken applications to stop Android devices.
You can say what you want, but using older apps to get the streams and side-loading devices is not the way to do business. To successfully get DSTV to wake the 'f' up is to stop using their streaming technologies for better online technologies. It will put pressure onto the business model and force them to catch a wake-up and support their customers.
At least I know the younger generation in South Africa is technical and savvy smart, so it will take time for the "men in white beards" running DSTV to realize the "satellite-model" of business is old, antiquated and expensive. Cheaper alternatives are available and the current monopoly, once broken, will loose a lot of investors a lot of money!
