From what I've heard you get 2 versions of firmware , the Chinese purchased one tends to give issues

Found the solution for the DSTV now apk.
I was using the Mibox remote to open it. After I connected my wireless mouse, I can make it play in full screen.

There is no additional app. You can cast the video via the dstv now app.
