The Droid TV thread

Hmmm .... , do you know if you can install DSTV Now and Showmax

Not sure but seeing that it is netflix certified and has a google play button on the remote it should be google certified.
Dstv now and showmax works on google certified devices.

Maybe someone that has bought one can give feedback or maybe one can even go into a store and request a demo - I have done it at makro before.
Also, this is more like a dongle than a full box - no usb / ethernet ports.

Saw an article where it was connected to a same manufacturer's PVR ... , as a satellite feed replacement.

Im looking at a android media box/stick.
Which one is the best value for money currently out there? All of them looks priced the same more or less.
Smartvu?
Xiaomi mi?
Chromecast?
Roku?
Something else?

Mi-Box is good, but would rather go for the Xiaomi 4K streaming stick at the moment.

The Fire TV 4K MAX if you are not wanting DSTV/Showmax on it

Google Chromecast with Google TV

Skyworth Leap S1 box, or Emantic, about all the locally available boxes, I would buy.
