The Duke Nukem Thread

It was only ever going to be special due to it being duke nukem :D.

I hope i never wasted my money today though :D.
 
I was on my way to pick it up and then I thought that I'd rather play it properly than in bits and pieces. I have two other games which I haven't touched yet so I'm going to finish those first.
 
How do you guys keep up with all the releases, i'm still busy with games that came out in march!!

I must be honest, apart from the fact it is duke nukem i am already bored.

Hope the multiplayer will be good :D.
 
my one friend bought the game and sais graphics wise its a dissapointment :( but still thats his opinion
 
I coughed up and bought this yesterday, and it just doesn't feel like the old game. Also the load times are quite long, which is especially annoying after you've died a few times, and you will die quite a lot because it seems like they made it hard just for the sake of being hard. Hopefully things start picking up.

ITO graphics there are a few glitches, but it's not as bad as it's being made out to be. For example I think the portraits on the walls were designed to have that pixelated look for the sake of nostalgia.
 
Well for me it loads very quickly.

3-4 seconds. I put it on the hardest and honestly i think it seems too easy at times. The aliens really don't seem that good. Before i realised i could pick up a weapon i was punching them. Sometimes it seems easier to melee them than it is too shoot them.

I enjoy it. I'm not a very big FPS gamer but I very much enjoy the corny one-liners and the gameplay.

Only things I don't like are checkpoints (boo), only two weapons on you at a time (boo) and no mighty foot :cry:

I'm playing on Xbox, consoles aren't usually suited to FPS but it's much more noticeable in this game. Especially when you're surrounded by those fast moving pigs because you can't turn around as quickly as you can on a PC.

Eish no wonder you struggle, aiming on the xbox must be horrible. I tried the whole FPS thing on the playstation, bfbc 1 and i could not get used to the aiming.

Yeah, I agree. Load times on PS3 are way too long and also think it's quite hard. I've put it down after very little play, enjoying Killzone 3 demo more.
I'm actually considering trading Duke in for that.
