The ANC had a 2/3 majority for many years, and even after it lost it, it still had the extra vote it needed from friendly parties. Nothing has changed regarding that

The ANC has changed.

Exactly. While I was incorrect on the last page, I still stand by what I said previously. Which is pretty much what you've just said here.

Fair enough, but things are changing. The trend, election on election, is the gradual loss of support on the ANC's part and an increase in support for its biggest rival. I wouldn't put it past the ANC taking action and ''protecting'' themselves by dabbling with the constitution. Increasing the length of presidential terms, increasing the number of terms a president can have, certain political limitations, etc.

They have it in for free press, so I won't put it past them reinforcing their grip on political power.

When you combine speculation with fear, you have a conspiracy theory

TOLL TARIFFS TO INCREASE: SANRAL

Toll tariffs will increase in line with the consumer price index (CPI) on May 24, the SA National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) said on Friday.

"Any adjustments to the tariffs are based on the preceding twelve months' CPI. The average CPI adjustment for Sanral toll tariffs is 5.8 percent," it said in a statement.

Transport Minister Dipuo Peters approved the tariff adjustments proposed by Sanral early in May and the adjustments were gazetted on Friday.

The only toll plaza that would not be affected by the increase was Swartruggens.

"We use the inflation rate as a guide, as we at the national roads agency do not want to increase road usage costs beyond what is reasonable," spokesman Vusi Mona said.

Electronic tolling in Gauteng would also not be affected.

"E-toll tariffs in Gauteng became effective in the beginning of December 2013 and therefore the first annual adjustment may only be in March 2015," said Mona.

If you have already paid for something then anything above zero is already unreasonable.....

So which is it now? Will it go up in May or is the adjustment for next year March?

FINAL ELECTION RESULTS ON SAT

The final results of the fifth general elections will be announced on Saturday, the Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) said.

"With 97.96 percent of results captured, we are confident of being able to announce the official results tomorrow," IEC chairwoman Pansy Tlakula told reporters at the national results centre on Friday.

"As we speak we are in the process of finalising the capture of the results in the last few remaining voting districts."

The final results were expected to be announced at 6pm at the results centre on Saturday.

Just before lunch time on Friday, the IEC had finalised capturing results in four provinces -- Mpumalanga, North West, Limpopo, and the Northern Cape, Tlakula said.

The five remaining provinces were almost complete.

The Eastern Cape was 99.8 percent complete, Free State 94.7 percent, Gauteng 98.2 percent, KwaZulu-Natal 98.2 percent, and the Western Cape 98.3 percent.

Tlakula said so far 17.69 million votes had been captured nationally and 17.12 million provincially.

"We are still awaiting the delivery of ballots from eight foreign missions for inclusion in the count for the international voting districts."

The assault on free press is not speculation, it is very real. The limit on who could observe the elections was another thing that raised a few eyebrows. The statement that the Hawks should be accountable to government is another.

So the ANC haven't lost that much votes since 2009 and the EFF gained 1000000 votes as well as th DA, where did these numbers come from 0.o
