I see that some voting stations had a 100% + voters turnout, one in Milnerton had 130%. The Helderberg Strand Hall only had 60% where I voted.

Remember you could vote at any station...

Yip my registered area had a huge queue the whole day so at 7pm I drove around looking for a quiet one.

11 thousand thousand :D It also got me the first time I saw it...

Oh right. :D

Because the ANC has not shown any indication that it is against corruption/incompetence, and seems to be set on installing Zuma as President4Lyfe (tm)

I don't think that'll happen easily. The ANC didn't take long to get rid of Mbeki when he wanted to go into dictator mode.

However, they've indicated multiple times they're not interested in either efficient government or accountability. And they're gonna rule for a long time to come.

Definitely making me considering getting the fsck out. Tired of this schit.

it was the zANC that got rid of Mbeki. They're entrenched now ...

Maybe the first, not sure where you got the latter from

I'm out, have sort of been asked to leave as I have to decided on which citizenship to give up and this makes it that much easier....

Not all of us are that fortunate. We're kinda forced to put up with this idiocy at least in the short term :(

Corruption effects the poor far more then wealthier citizens. Not sure why you care so much

Well let's see... All of the corruption/malfeasance/maladministration that is being swept under the carpet because it benefits him. There is no way in hell they will EVER let someone else control the government, because all the people who have been covering for him will end up in a large amount of poo should they not agree with the New Number One - and the exposed ones are the kingmakers. So, say hi to our new King.

Because actually some of us would like to see this country prosper - and actually don't glory in the plight of the poor. We pay a lot of tax and expect to see this tax used properly - it's not. The wealthier citizens PAY for the corruption, the poor suffer from it, and everyone except the fat cat loses.

So, you're a tinfoil hatter

Nope. I'm a realist. Trying to imagine a scenario where JZ steps down gracefully and his supporters don't end up in jail, and not succeeding. Perhaps you can paint a scenario that will help me?

The country is certainly prospering. Very much so.
The problem is that it is not prospering as much as it should, and the wealth gap is sky high.

I can't imagine a situation where he wouldn't.
It actually makes me laugh this teeth gnashing that seems to occur after every single general election. Woe and fear! And then it promptly dies down
