Beautiful colour: I miss it and my hairs tingle when I pass one in the road because I really loved my last bakkie. Not to say I don't love my current white one just as much.

What made Thunder special, was that it was discontinued in late 2014, making those of us who owned one have a bit of special edition status. Mine got me above book trade because there is used demand for the colour amongst certain buyers...

Re the camera and PDC: I don't know how my brother lives with his XLS supercab which has neither. I find both features equally valuable. The PDC is useful for catching missed objects on the sides, while the PRO thing about the camera is that you can zoom right in on the towball when performing a parallel parking manoeuvre. It means I can stop 10mm from the bumper of the car behind and then full lock forward to get into the bay cleanly. Love it and it scares the CR@P out of people sitting in their cars. So many have blasted the hooter in a panic as they thought I was going to hit them.

XLT pack should give you both if you are buying an XLS.

Never called it sync 4 as sync 4 is unannounced. I said 4th installment as in 4th change. Sync 3 enhancement is also apt.

No upgrading possible. Just like I cant get the navigation added to my sync 3.

So I took delivery of my new Ranger 2.2 xl Auto on Wednesday and although I grew up on a farm driving bakkies daily this thing is HUGE (no Fanie your wife did not say that) but I enjoy it. This is an awesome vehicle to drive but I just need to get used to the size and the auto box as this is my first auto.

I got it with 8km on the clock so I am still driving like a granny but thus far I enjoy it so much.

Something I would really like to change is the audio system or the screen as I am used to the big touch screen of my Tiguan and I enjoy some of the more luxury things in life so is it possible or should I give up now?

I got mine in oyster silver which is a colour I did not often see and then today I had the PDC and reverse camera fitted. The mirror has a bit of a problem when reverse is activated, it seems as there are some interference or a loose connection which will be sorted out on Monday.

I really enjoyed my Tiguan but I am really really enjoying this vehicle and Im very glad I went with the ranger.

I also took the running boards, roll bar, cover at the back and nudge bar which will be fitted next week.

Hahahahahaha. I have not seen it as of yet, not that Im looking foward to it should it happen. Even if it does it will be worth it, going out happy in a ball of fire
