The Google phone is real

I thought the Google Phone already came out, wasn't it the HTC Dream / G1 ? Or what was that about then?

Techcrunch reports that the phone itself is being built by HTC, with a ton of input from Google.

Ok, so the correct term should be the NEXT Google Phone. Since last i checked Google already did this with HTC, maybe they had less hardware input, but it was still considered the Google Phone at the time.

Google made the Andrpod OS but have always left the hardware design and spec to the hardware partners. This has resulted in some fragmentation with all the different models, each with it's own hardware and ui tweaks. Now they are making a Google brand phone which should represent the reference or standard.

That said it is made by HTC and looks like the HD2, which is an amazing piece of kit.

It looks almost exactly like the Bravo, which will also be an Android device.

Bravo: Now this is what we're talking about -- HTC finally marries Android with Snapdragon to make the device we suspect that many of us are going to be lusting for in 2010. It's got DivX support, 720p video capture through a 5 megapixel AF cam with flash, a mighty 3.7-inch AMOLED display, and that Qualcomm Snapdragon humming along at 1GHz. If all goes well, we should start to see this (hopefully everywhere) in April.
