Hi folks,
I'm looking for a square cable outlet like this pic. I've usually only seen the round plastic ones. Chamberlains only had the round version of the pic. Builders and Gelmar only the round plastic one.

Any suggestions where else I could find it?
Ideally looking for 100mmx100mm.

I need it out cover the old wall for a mounted tv. The new one I'd slightly higher so the old hole is showing. So would need to lower the TV cover up the hole.
This would make it neater anyway.

Thanks

I am a bit confused? is there a wall mounted tv bracket you repalced or moved? if so polyfill the holes.

is this what you want? https://leroymerlin.co.za/blank-cov...zOmr9xhLyMW3BhpBC6FI2FTtnutOGrOsaAoYIEALw_wcB

Hire an unemployed dude to chip it off with a brick bolster and a hammer

Thanks for this, a lot of elbow grease, but alas it seems the cement mix penetrated the paving bricks.

Looks like I need to find a way to do the same for the rest of the paving bricks but can’t seem to find anything on how to do a thin coat of cement over them, to effectively try and “stain” them light grey, with a cement/plaster bond mix lightly spread over the area.

Anyone with any advice or thoughts on this idea.

I’ve noticed that the difference is much less stark when wet from rain, so might propose a wet look sealer.

The TV is mounted to a dry wall.
The cables run in the cavity out in a hole that used to be covered.
The new TV has lower mounting points for the bracket so sits slightly higher. So now the hole that was covered is exposed.

Hope it's clearer.

Forgot about Leroy Merlin, will check them out. Thanks

If it's drywall why not patch the hole then install the new outlet?

yeah I would also go with this, pretty easy to dry wll patch, you dont even need blocking tons of videos on how to make a patch where you leave the paper on and cut out some backing to make a band aid

Hi guys, we are busy with some renovations at home and will be doing a 2mm gap on some stair and bathroom tiles (600x600). I wanted to ask whether there is any benefit in using the self levelling tile spacers or should the regular plastic tile spacers be sufficient?

regular should be fine if the person knows how to tile. Personally i would go min 3mm for floor tiles

Thanks Steamy Tom. I spoke to the guys at Stiles who said I can go with 2mm on the grout lines. Tiles are 600x600 rectified. What is the rationale for going 3mm? I know it requires more effort from the guys doing the tiling and they have to be more precise.

Built 2 raised beds over the holidays using 38x228 rafters and perlins
They are 2 rafters high. Box 1 is 2x1m and the other is 3x1m
nailed Chicken wire at the bottom to keep the contents steady

Got them for cheap cos i have a family member that works for a hardware and organised a discount.

I plan to line the boxes with plastic cos rafters are treated wood and can leach into the soil.
I also plan to make these "hugelkultur" beds, so need to find some old logs to fill half of them before filling the rest with potting soil and then woodchips for mulch

Thats a granadilla in the corner that i will try to trelis to make a nice living back wall

Anyone have any experience with with a pool fence vs pool cover. Trying to find the cheapest potential option to make it child safe.

It’s 10x6m which makes it tricky to get a PVC cover, since removing and replacing is likely a team job. R26k

Had wanted a removable pool fence which works out to R10k less

Finally a traditional old school fence which I’m trying to work out the costs of that.

Any experiences

Yes, I recently had a PVC cover installed.

Pool is 10x5 with some odd bits like the steps and fountain area. The ratchets are child proof, and even if the kid does figure it out, it still requires 2 people to fold the cover. Kid can walk over it, heck even you can walk over it.

Paid around 11k. 26k sounds like a rip off.

if you're in the GP area...

Have asked them for a quote

How easy is it to remove and replace?

Pretty easy, just a bit of a schlep hence why you need two people.

PM me and I'll send you the guy's number. You can WhatsApp him directly, will go faster...
