Does anyone know offhand what the Randburg building line restrictions for back and sides are? My erf is >500sqm so googling shows the front must be 3 meters but I'm not getting a conclusive answer for the other two.

Does it fall under COJ? Then the might be no building line restrictions for bak and sides on ground floor. Check the latest town planning scheme.

So i have this chromadek roof that was built after i bought the place. The roof is 5 years old and you can see in what condition it is.
I replaced all the tek screws and bonded washers. Washed the roof with a pressure washer. Stuck some bitumen tape over all the tek screw heads. Did some waterproofing with membrane and Flash Harry liquid plastic. Then painted the roof with Dulux roof guard. 3 Coats.
The roof was originally dark dolphin in color but faded severely.

Ive looked at this post a few times. Have pretty much decided I need to get my roof painted ahead of the panels going up. It looks a lot like yours but after only 18 months odd. Sheets were bought during the great post lock down shortage when Mittal shut down their smelters - so unbranded but coated in dark dolphin.

Have been looking at using Plascon Nuroof - but worried about its heat reduction. I’m not convinced I want the house cooler. I see you used Dulux, which would have been my first choice had I not scratched about and found good reviews on the Plascon. The true colour seems to have more recommendations for doing inside and outside walls over the actual roof ironically.

Given the age of my sheets I’m guessing I might get away without having to do the Tek screw replacement and sealing, also need to treat a few spots for rust - think perhaps red oxide before paint. Impressed with the finish, can barely see the strip cover.

Any primer required or just a few top coats?

Look you are only gonna get one go at it before the panels go up. Do it proper.
I washed the roof with some iron cleaner with water and a broom. Then I treated the rust spots with Duram Rust Converter & Primer. Then I painted 2 or 3 coats of Dulux Roofguard in Grecian Grey.

If your tek screws are fine and not leaking I guess you could leave them be, OR might as well re-do them while you are at it. I removed my old tek screws and cleaned up the rust spots with a wire brush attached to a drill. Till shiny. Then i applied the Durum rust converter and primer on the spots. Put in the new screw and roof washer and tape over the screw head and washer with bitumen sealing tape. Then painted the final coats of roof paint.

I guess the final coat is pretty much, much of a muchness. Anything from Plascon or Dulux should be fine.

Right, so the Isoboard has been paid. Waiting on delivery. Got a guy thats gonna do the installation for me.
Black Allububle was also ordered to do the insulation on the inside of the garage door.
Whatch this space.

Spikes or Barbed wire? Or is there anything that looks aesthetically pleasing and effective?

This is for a 2.1m high wall.

I've installed rollerspikes. Looks much better than barbed wire that makes your house looks like a prison.
And dude with a crowbar can easily remove it, but I guess that's with everything.

Regarding the plain concrete. I've acid washed and painted 2 courtyards. They look ok, but require repainting pretty often, especially where water drops onto the floor. I think I used fired earth floor coat. A contractor said I should have used roof paint, does the same thing and costs less.

If you want hardwearing paint try guys like Jotun, Carboline, Sigma or International. But you are going to PAY.
