Grinds my gears when electricians (and plumbers) charge you a pretty penny and then do **** like that. The glands are under R2 each but they cheap out and do the bare minimum.
This is why I try do as much wiring as I can myself (within the limitations of my knowledge), and get an electrician to finish the job - most of us would do a better job specifically because we're being extra cautious. In my previous house that had CoC, there were twin earth cables just running in the ceiling without being tacked down - and the inspection boxes had no glands on, just gaping holes in the sides.
Agree, everybody seems to be only interested in hit and runs with payment upfront, I do all my own stuff.Just about everything I've had done in the last 10 years on my house I've had to touch up due to poor workmanship
Yeah, bought some RPi's from them a few years back.. one or two other things as well.. No issues back then..Oh wait, these look even nicer:
Standard Terminal Blocks | Terminal Blocks | RS
Non fused terminal blocks are modular, screw-type electrical connectors used to connect a number of wires together in electrical wiring applications.za.rs-online.com

Will check them out thanks - haven't used them before myself.Another option are things like these : https://www.builders.co.za/Electric...e-Connector-Push-In-5way/p/000000000000569666
I've used them quite extensively and they're great.

- Hanging a fek ton of pictures around the house I've been promising to do for ages
I refuse to do it with nails or those dumb little knock in plastic things. Use a m12 rawl bolt like a real man (works best for díck pics)This last item on your list scares me the most. To borrow your phrase, I fek'n hate hanging picture frames.
The wago's are so slick as you can reuse them by flipping the lever. Very handy when you an amateur and you making kok ups constantlyAnother option are things like these : https://www.builders.co.za/Electric...e-Connector-Push-In-5way/p/000000000000569666

I'm an m16 man myself because it obviously carries 4 more units of masculinity.
