Yup... And the missus wonders why I hate going to builders or its ilk, there are always things that need doing and money that needs to be spent.
So true, had to force myself not to buy a dremel while I was there yesterday, only managed to avoid it because I didn't want to buy 6m of pvc pipe when I needed less than a meter. Managed to get some off cuts for free from the local pump shop.

What are you planning for where the existing roof hits the new addition? Box gutter?

Someone recommended a product to finish off enamel painted shelves to harden the paint for daily use, for the life of me I can't find the post?

Anyone have someone in CPT that is good with driveway gates, access control and cctv? Looking for one person to install my new gate motor, put taller posts in and install cctv cameras. I just don't feel like doing it myself

Battling to find someone who installs gates, but also knows what a rj45 jack is and how to crimp it :facepalm

Need a bit of advice - not quite home improvement... I had car door panels cut out of MDF - I'm currently waterproofing them with woodoc marine sealer (5x layers).... what is going to be the best way to finish them off, paint (raptor lining?) ? vinyl wrap?

The easiest would be the vinyl wrap, assuming you take your time and apply it properly with the right squeegee thing..

I diy'ed the interior wood trim in my car quite a few years ago in 2014. Just thinking about it now its amazing that it has lasted this long. No fading etc. Still looks good. Bought a few metres from maizeys, get a heat gun on low setting or hair dryer, sqeegee and some soapy water solution in a spray bottle.

Keep in mind that any imperfections will show throw the vinyl.

You can see the crack showing pretty clearly through the vinyl

i let my sparky do all the wire pulling for my cctv system and crimped the rj45s myself. bought cheapie tools at communica and 1 or 2 youtube videos later voila.

will be hard pressed to find a jack of all those trades...

I’m not that hard to find haha

So had a kettle grill that was never stable and annoyed me, especially when cooking on it. Decided to build a cart for it. Still need to sand and protect from the elements, needs wheels and a few gadgets. Initially added screws to keep the unit away from the wood. Wasn't too happy so also added two torsion pipes after. Much better now. Made my first fire today and it's such a pleasure.
